Gozo Dream yacht racing team
to compete in Aegean 600 Race
THE Gozo Dream Yacht Racing
team will take part in the in-
ternational Aegean 600 race in
Greece, starting on 6 July 2025.
This marks the third consecu-
tive year the Ministry has backed
the team, which carries the Visit
Gozo logo during high-level in-
ternational competitions. The
Aegean 600 is known for its
challenging course and attracts
seasoned competitors from
around the Mediterranean.
Minister for Gozo Clint
Camilleri said the participation
was a milestone. "This will be
the first Gozo boat to venture
beyond our seas to take part in
this race. We look forward to
discussing further opportunities
for the team to represent Gozo
in more prestigious internation-
al events," he said.
The crew primarily consists of
Gozitan residents and includes
Skipper Noel Grech, Co-Skip-
pers James Pave and Claudio
Bugeja, and crew members
Christopher Tabone, Matthew
Grech, Mark Muscat, Jean Pierre
Grech, Philippe Farchy, and
Paolo Farrugia.
Camilleri said the ministry's
broader commitment to sports,
noting upcoming support for a
contingent participating in the
Small Islands Games this July,
aimed at promoting Gozitan
athletes on the international
stage.
