The Gozo Food Festival, now a staple in the island's summer calendar, offers a vibrant space where gastronomy meets culture and entertainment. Over two con- secutive nights, the festival will feature a wide array of food stands offering global cuisines—from Asian, Mediterranean, and European to South American dishes—as well as traditional Gozitan delicacies that showcase the island's unique culinary iden- tity. But it's not just about food. The festival also serves as a cultural platform, with live music performances adding to the lively at- mosphere. Guests can also enjoy a curated selection of fine wines and wine tasting ex- periences, making for a holistic and immer- sive event for all the senses. Speaking about the event, Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri said, "As a Minis- try, we are fully supporting an event that not only brings people together but also strengthens the local economy and sup- ports producers. This festival is loved not just by Gozitans but also by Maltese resi- dents and tourists visiting our island during this time of year. We want Gozo to remain the natural choice for Maltese planning their vacations, as well as for international tourists we welcome in summer." Xewkija Mayor Simona Refalo and event organiser Quinton Scerri were also pres- ent at the announcement, highlighting the collaborative effort behind the festival. To- gether with the Xewkija Local Council and EcoGozo, they've crafted a family-friendly program suitable for visitors of all ages.
