Neville Refalo will be interpreting the main part of the Beast, whilst the young Krista Mercieca would be por- traying the other main role of Belle. Other characters would be interpreted by Andrew Bu- hagiar, Karl J. Buhagiar, Lud- wig Galea, Jeremy Paul Grech and Sharon Sciortinio, togeth- er with a cast of about a hun- dred other persons, including musicians, singers, choristers and dancers. Mro. Mark Gauci, who in recent years has already con- ducted other great musicals, namely "Scrooge", "The Sound of Music", "My Fair Lady", "Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame", will be the artistic di- rector helped by Sandra Susn- jic as choir director. The artis- tic direction will be left in the hands of Jamie Camilleri, who in recent years has also direct- ed other musicals produced in our Theatre. Mario Grech and Frances Zammit are the show's choreographers. Mari- sa Theuma & Mario Grech will be in charge of the Wardrobe with the many extravagant cos- tumes needed for this extraor- dinary show. Scenography has been left in the hands of artists Dennis Mompalao and Paul M. Cassar together with a group of volunteers from the Don Bosco Oratory Theatre. The opening night of Dis- ney's "Beauty and The Beast" will be on Fri- day 7th November at 7:30pm, with repeat performances on Sat- urday 8th November at 7.30pm, and a mat- inee' performance on Sunday 9th November at 2.30pm (matinee show). Then there will be two other perfor- mances, one on Sat- urday 15th November at 7.30pm, and a last performance on Sun- day 16th November at 5.30pm. This mu- sical is surely one of the most challenging musicals ever to be staged at the Don Bosco Oratory The- atre of Gozo. Booking is now open.
