THE National Blood Transfu-
sion Service (NBTS) is calling
on all blood groups to attend a
donation session in Gozo this
Sunday, emphasizing that every
donation can help save lives.
"Donors can help save three
lives with just one donation," the
Service said, urging Gozitans to
continue attending sessions to
ensure patients receive timely
blood and to maintain a stable
supply.
The NBTS has recently updat-
ed its donor eligibility guidelines,
removing restrictions on several
medications. For more informa-
tion on eligibility, donors can
call 22066201, 79307307, or the
freephone 80074313.
The next session will take
place on Sunday, 14 November,
from 8am to 1pm at the Xewkija
Community Clinic, located on
Triq tal-Hamrija, between the
Primary School and the Bocci
Club.
The Service reminded donors
to bring their Maltese ID card,
driving licence, or passport, to
drink water before donating, and
to have a light snack rather than
a heavy meal.
"Your cooperation and gener-
osity are greatly appreciated as
always," the NBTS said.
