8 maltatoday | WEDNESDAY • 25 MARCH 2026 CULTURE TOI TOI Easter concert brings Movie Magic to the Teatru Manoel stage this April This 4, 5 and 6 April, Teatru Manoel and TOI TOI present the return of their much-anticipated Easter Concert. This year's theme, Movie Magic, will take families on a riveting tour of everyone's favourite movie soundtracks IN an evening of live music, au- diences of all ages are invited to marvel at some of the most icon- ic, evocative music ever written for the screen. Featuring music from E.T., Star Wars, Avengers, Shrek, Harry Potter as well as the TOI TOI audience singalong songs from box office smash films by Disney, Netflix, Univer- sal and Pixar studios. Accompa- nied by the TOI TOI orchestral ensemble, a cast of gifted young singers and some very special guests, 'Movie Magic' promises to bring the joy of live music to all members of the family. And of course, there will be some ex- citing singalong moments along the way. Now in its sixth consecutive year, the TOI TOI Easter Con- cert offers an annual slot in the calendar for the whole family to join together in a collective experience, bringing the older and younger members of the community together to enjoy live music in Malta's beauti- ful National Theatre. Previous concerts have covered a variety of themes such as musical the- atre, big band music, and the history of the boy band. 'Movie Magic' features Music Direc- tion by Tom Newall and cho- reography by Warren Bonel- lo. The production is written and directed by TOI TOI Learning & Participation Pro- gramme Manager Kate Fenech Field, with contributions from emerging directors Faye Mallia and Nicole Sciberras. 'Movie Magic' will bring the Teatru Manoel main stage to life, with performances on Easter Saturday (4th April) at 20:00, on Easter Sunday (5th April) with an earlier start time of 17:00 and on Monday 6th April at 15.00. Tickets cost €15 for children aged 4 to 16 and €30 for those aged 17 and up.
