55 Sport maltatoday, SUNDAY, 26 JANUARY 2014 FOOTBALL Manchester United Banif credit card holder sees Man Utd team up close and personal BANIF client and Manchester United fan David Camilleri won the once in a lifetime opportunity to watch the team train in a money-can't-buy experience, as part of the launch of the Manchester United Credit Card in Malta by Banif Bank. David, accompanied by his father, were priveleged to watch a training session featuring some of the best players in the world as David Moyes put the squad through technical skill drills at the Aon Training Complex. The lucky Manchester United Credit Card holder also won tickets for himself and a guest to watch Man Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur on New Year's Day. The prize was part of a skill question lottery organised by Banif, to coincide with the launch of the Manchester United Credit Card on the local market – a first of its kind. The prize was only possible through the Bank's agreement with Manchester United Football Club an agreement that enables the Bank to offer its customers a number of incentives and initiatives related to the Club and team they are so passionate about. "What an experience this has been!" said David Camilleri. "Seeing the players so close. Watching them train and then taking photos, shaking their hands, securing their signatures and sharing a word with the players past and present! Then the game. First you go to the Warwick Suite... you're offered sushi freshly prepared by the resident chef and welcome drinks. With match programme and memento in hand you start recognising former players in the same room with you! We chatted with Bryan Robson and Andrew Cole. Then a sumptuous buffet. 5 minutes from kick-off you find your way to a prime seat on the turnstiles. Soon the teams come out and after the formal shake David Camilleri and Andrew Cole of hands and toss of the coin, the game begins. What an atmosphere! The result did not go Man Utd's way but it was a great and very enjoyable game just the same. For me, this was truly a unique once in a life time experience. You truly feel and are treated like a VIP. Man Utd were amazing hosts." The Manchester United Credit Card comes with a number of privileges related to the Club such as discounts on the official club membership, discounts from the Megastore and from Red Cafe, Old Trafford museum and tour discounts, exclusive memorabilia, and other benefits such as free travel insurance and free purchase protection insurance. Terms and conditions apply.
