The Best Sales Consultant title was awarded to Julian Caruana with Robert Caruana placing second in this category and Angele Cremona, Aaron Borg and Dylan Micallef tying for third place. Ludwig Farrugia was awarded as the Best Letting Consult- ant and Jason Doneo placed second in that category. Martin Carter and Matthew Vella Critien were awarded the title of Best New Recruits. The Mellieha Branch was awarded Best Branch Award for 2013. MaltaTo- day takes the time to meet up with these outstanding individuals and try to understand what drives them and what it takes to not only make it in real estate, but also be the best. What first drew you to working with Frank Salt? And what keeps you there today? Ludwig Farrugia: A friend of mine knew I was changing jobs and asked me why not real estate. At first I was hesitant but today I ask myself why didn't I start earlier. Angele Cremona: I was looking for a job that would allow me to be flexible with my time and earn some more money. This and all my col- leges have kept me here. Matthew Vella Critien: After my studies, Frank Salt Real Estate got my attention thanks to their professional and organized attitude. The fact each day is different, the amount of new things one can learn, the different people we meet and the potential of earning good money make me stay. What is the Frank Salt team like? What is it like working with them? How have they contributed to your success? Aaron Borg: I see the team as easygoing but at the same time very professional and motivated. Helping each other definitely contributes to the success of the company. Julian Caruana: Frank Salt is my extended family; we travel together, we work and also party together! Robert Caruana: Although there is competition internally, it is a healthy one. We also forge close relation- ships between branches, because ul- timately you will need your counter- parts to help direct and suggest the right properties for your client You have been in this sector for some time, making you seasoned veterans in the industry. How does Frank Salt match up to other com- panies? What does it offer you that others might not? RC: You are a person in the compa- ny, not a number. Great care is taken to give the individual the attention they need and I see that the company wants each and every member of the team be successful. Dylan Micallef: The market is al- ways changing, from uncertain eco- nomic times to new schemes com- ing out to attract foreign and local investment. Frank Salt has always been pre- pared and ready to tackle these changes and is constantly offering at- tractive incentives. That's what suc- cessful companies do in the property industry. JC: Frank Salt offers an ethical set up to operate from and the company has a long history and excellent track record. We have the best profession- al set-up for a real estate company in Malta by far. As the new recruits, what are your aspirations for your careers in real estate? How does Frank Salt con- tribute to those aspirations? MVC: My goal is to continue to work hard and grow within the busi- ness and company. I believe that Frank Salt gives me the opportuni- ties I need especially since the com- pany is set to grow in the coming 5 years. MC: My aspiration is to make a business career out of it. When I en- tered the real estate business it was never a gap-filler - it was always my intention to make it work. On the other hand, Frank Salt contributed perfectly to my aspirations since it is a company with a remarkably profes- sional attitude. What advice would you give new recruits in order to excel with Frank Salt? AC: Work hard and you will suc- ceed. Jason Doneo: Do not give up and think positive. DM: Be open-minded, remove any mental barriers and persevere. You are all winners. What makes you stand out from others? What is your 'recipe for success'? RC: We are a small team and as such we are all very close and are constantly helping one another, pushing and encouraging each other in order to keep all our clients happy and looked after.
