Participants will take part in all three differ- ent performance disciplines each day. All of the workshops are high energy and fast paced and designed to develop participants' skills. Wheth- er you are new to perform- ing or already have some experience, Summer Expe- rience is catered to advanc- ing your skills. The classes are designed to be engaging, fun and at the end of the day you will leave saying: "Did I really do that?!" At the end of the Second Week there will be the opportunity to share and demonstrate your skills before an audience! Masquerade Summer Ex- perience 2014 will run daily Monday to Fridays for 2 weeks, be- tween 21 July and 1 August. There will be afternoon sessions from 3.30 to 6.30pm open to stu- dents aged 7 to 16 years (split into groups according to age/experi- ence); and evening sessions open to students aged 14 years to adults. All workshops will take place at M Space – A Hub for Creative Ex- change, centrally situated in Msida (opposite Junior College). Luke is a West End Musical Thea- tre musician, currently working on Les Miserables. Luke is also a highly respected singing teacher who is very much in demand throughout the UK. He will offer musical theatre and group singing and this will be a 'fun' ex- ploration of music and songs from both stage and screen musicals. Each class will begin with a lively vocal warm-up, followed by the ex- ploration of material con- trasting in both range and style, ensuring that there is 'something for everyone'. Week One will focus on a variety of performance styles and, during week two, the material will be shaped into performance. Erica McGrail will lead Dance and Movement. Erica is a young, vibrant dancer and choreographer who originally trained at London's Laine Theatre Arts and Guildford School of Acting. As a performer Erica has many credits, but her real passion is teaching and choreography. Her classes will begin with a good physical 'warm-up' and will then explore a variety of dance styles, jazz, con- temporary, modern, street jazz and just a touch of zumba! There will be opportuni- ties to explore the choreo- graphic process and par- ticipate in ensemble dance, movement for musical theatre and physical theatre. Andy Smith will lead Acting and Drama. Andy is an established the- atre director and teacher of acting and has worked all over the world during the past 37 years. Andy will use a whole range of script extracts, classical, contem- porary and musical theatre. The exploration will be great fun and the skills acquired will last a life- time! There will also be classes on in-depth character development. The Masquerade Summer Experience 2014 – the experience of a lifetime! PKF to address Oil and Gas Investor Summit in London George Mangion, PKF Partner, will be addressing the four-day Oil and Gas Investor Summit and Exhibi- tion Conference which will be held at The Marriott Hotel, Regents Park, London between 16 and 19 June. The seminar boasts a number of keynote speakers, including senior fund representatives from JP Morgan Asset Management, Barclays Natural Resource Investments, First Reserve UK and Aston Hill Financial, to name but a few. The cumulative value of capital under management by the confirmed speakers represents over $12.5 billion. PKF Malta has been promoting Malta as a future hub for the oil and gas industry, having attended a string of international conferences, and will be launching a series of new initia- tives in the near future. PKF has garnered among its acco- lades the co-hosting of conferences in London with OilBarrel.com in De- cember 2012 and October 2013, Mas- ter Investor in April 2013, and estab- lished useful contacts with oil service providers following a familiarisation visit to Aberdeen Scotland . Drilling for hydrocarbons in off- shore water is currently a hot topic as MOG started drilling a well in area 4 situated in a zone to the south of Malta, where an extensive seismic survey proved promising. Another seismic survey is also to be conducted in the north. It may not be a coincidence that recently, Rockhopper Exploration agreed with Mediterranean Oil & Gas (MOG) to acquire the entire share capital of MOG, valued at about 29.3 million pounds. Pierre Jungels, Chairman of Rock- hopper, noted, "This transaction rep- resents an important milestone for the company as we add production to our portfolio and broaden our explo- ration and development opportunity set, by establishing ourselves in an area our team understands well. "While the acquisition cost and capital exposure are modest in rela- tion to our balance sheet, the upside potential is significant and we be- lieve that the new acreage will create an attractive entry platform to one of the most exciting regions in the in- dustry at this time." Middlesea Insurance has launched MotorMax, an intelligent insurance product for young drivers. Through this insurance, drivers can get a discount on their insurance based on their driving performance. This is possible through the installation of a track- ing device in the insured's vehicle, which monitors a number of driving habits, such as speed, mileage and nighttime driving. Good driving habits can earn young drivers up to 40% discount on their in- surance premium upon renewal. This discount is over and above any no claims discount, which can amount up to 70%. The cli- ents can then still enjoy the same coverage and limits as the Middlesea Comprehensive Motor insurance policy, but at a lower price. Apart from saving money, MotorMax clients also enjoy other benefits. Through the device, it is easier to localize the insured vehicle in cases of theft or accident. In case of impact, drivers will be contacted on their mobile by the Middlesea Assist call centre and if there is no reply, assistance and medical help may be sent to the site of the accident. Customers can access information about their driving habits and the discount they are entitled to via a personalized web portal and mobile app. This insurance product in no way invades cus- tomers' privacy. At any point in time, Middlesea Insurance will only have access to aggregate in- formation and no access to a particular person's data. "Young drivers tend to be regarded by insurers as risky and thus are often charged a high premium on their insurance. This product will change this as young drivers who demonstrate safe driving habits can still pay less on their insurance. "We also believe that this product can serve as an educational tool to promote safe driving habits," said Alfredo Munoz, President and CEO of Mid- dlesea Insurance. As part of the product launch, a group of young drivers will be taking part in an innovative com- petition, whereby they'll have the device installed to their cars and their driving habits will be moni- tored for a whole month. Every day they'll be scored on the basis of speed, mileage, night time driving and social media chal- lenges. The winners can win three, two and one year's free comprehensive motor insurance from Middlesea Insurance. Middlesea Insurance p.l.c. (C-5553) is authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority to carry on both Long Term and General Business under the Insurance Business Act, 1998. Luke Thornton
