FEBRUARY 26 The Rifffs live Malta's most enduring ska band The Rifffs will perform at Ryan's Irish Pub, St Julian's at 21:30. FEBRUARY 28 Esben and the Witch live The atmospheric British three- piece Esben and the Witch will perform at Razzett L-Ahmar, Mosta at 21:00. EXHIBITIONS UNTIL FEBRUARY 27 A Similar New Exhibition by Adrian Abela at Architecture Project, 4, Sappers Street, Valletta. The exhibition presents three light pieces, one object, and two sprayed paintings, ref lecting the field of artistic research he has been occupied with for a long time. Opening times: Monday to Thursday – 10:00 to 17:00; Friday – 10:00 to 15:00. FEBRUARY 27-MARCH 1 Filigree Marathon Celebration of filigree at The Filigree Centre, Palazzo de la Salle, Republic Street, Valletta at 18:00. During the marathon there will be events such as art installations, poetry reading and filigree workshops. The Filigree Centre is the beginning of an NGO campaign to raise funds for Malta's first Filigree Museum and Community Centre. Featuring works by Bernice Buhagiar, Charlene Calleja, Sean Camilleri, Karen Caruana, Matthew Cassar, Luca Cauchi, Joe Chetcuti, Jessica Debattista, Glenn Ellul, Sara Ezabe, Anna Galea, Agatha Grima, Franco Navarro, Ray Piscopo, Marlon Polidano, Mark Schembri, Enrique` Tabone, Madeleine Gera, Mary Pitre` and Giovanna Castaldi. UNTIL MARCH 15 Afterselfie – beyond masks Collective exhibition at St James Cavalier, Valletta. Featuring works by Raphael Vella, Elisa Von Brockdorff, Adrian Abela, Ritty Tacsum, Goghi&Goghi collective, Gabriele Grones, Jacopo Dimastrogiovanni, Elia Nadie and Debora Fella. The idea behind Afterselfie was conceived at the 2014 edition of the Curatorial School at VIVA (the Valletta International Visual Art Festival), one of the Valletta 2018 Foundation's projects from its diverse Cultural Programme. Afterselfie is, first and foremost, a cultural exchange between Malta and Italy as a number of Maltese and Italian artists will be showcasing their work in both countries. After being displayed at St James Cavalier, the exhibition will then move to Palazzo Trentini in Trento, Italy and will run from May 15 to 31. THEATRE FEBRUARY 19 The Crucible Transmission of the Old Vic, London production of Arthur Miller's modern classic witch- hunting drama, The Crucible, at St James Cavalier, Valletta. Starring Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) and directed by Yaël Farber. The ensemble cast also features Malta- born actress Marama Corlett. FEBRUARY 20-22 The People Next Door Mellow Drama production of the award-winning play at Blue Box, M Space in Msida at 20:00. Directed by Steve Casaletto. MARCH 6, 7, 8; 13-15 The Vagina Monologues Performance of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues at Palazzo Pereira, 224, Republic Street, Valletta at 20:00.
