APRIL 18 Amber in concert Malta's Eurovision hopeful Amber Bondin in concert at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta at 20:30. The exhibition narrates the multifaceted role of the Inquisitor as supreme judge of the Holy Inquisition and Apostolic Delegate representative of the Papacy. It offers a unique and unprecedented opportunity to get to terms with stories of witchcraft, magical spells, theft and profanation of the sacred and a myriad of other curious episodes from the past. MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL APRIL 18, 19 Medieval Mdina Annual medieval festival across the streets of Mdina, from 10:00. Featuring re-enactments of scenes from medieval times, like the town crier, a slave market, a medieval kitchen, sword fighting, archery, and medieval tavern. There are also battles and skirmishes, magic shows, live music, falconry displays, parades, flag throwing shows, and more. FOOD FESTIVALS APRIL 18, 19 The Nutella Festival Festival of Nutella-inspired pastries and snacks at St Francis Square, Qormi from 19:00 on April 18 and 09:00 on April 19. The event, which will also feature musical entertainment, will be in aid of Inspire. APRIL 19 Festa Frawli Annual strawberry festival at the Mgarr Parish Square from 10:00 to 17:00. Featuring fresh local strawberries, food, drinks and sweets made from strawberries. PUBLIC LECTURES TONIGHT Interpreting the Symbols of St John's Co-Cathedral Public lecture by Dane Munro at the Phoenicia Hotel, Floriana at 18:30. An authority on the history and art of the Order of St John, Dane Munro will interpret the symbols on the marble tombstones and monuments of St John's Co-Cathedral. TONIGHT The Future of Paceville First of a two-part lecture series on Paceville chaired by anthropologist Dr Elise Pisani-Billiard at Europa House, St Paul's Street, Valletta at 17:30. Featuring speakers Dr Antoine Zammit, Jacques Borg Barthet, Reuben Grima, Kurt Scerri and Dr David Zammit. Topics discussed will range from urban liveability, commodisation, heritage and more. Attendees will be asked to show their ID card upon entry. APRIL 16 Bankrolling the Renaissance Public lecture by Douglas Skreggs on the Medici Family at Le Meridien, St Julian's at 18:30. Skeggs read Fine Art at Magdalene College Cambridge and has been a lecturer on paintings since 1980.
