Both the Autocross cars section and the Motocross Motorcycling Offroad Sport will continue their struggle for the lead of their respective championships. This program starts at noon on Sun- day while the Practice Sessions are held on Saturday afternoon between 2.00pm and 5.00pm. Meanwhile the Association ASMK announced that last Sunday the Tri- als competition was to take place, but due to un-for seen circumstanc- es this event had to be postponed for next Sunday 19 April. This Trials competition is being organized at the Tal-Ballut Quarry l/o San Pawl tat-Targa in Naxxar. This program starts at 9:00am. A look at the classification of the National Autocross Champion- ship we continue to see Christian Mark Galea on his Fiat Ritmo and Philip Joe Vella on his Opel Corsa still battling for the Championship title. Galea and Vella are presently followed by third placed Vince Far- rugia on his Volkswagen Polo while fourth place is occupied by Andrew Pisani on a Vauxhall Nova. In Autocross Class B we find that Martin Godwin on his Opel Corsa is leading this class and he already has gained an advantage and sealed his place as the winner of this tourna- ment. In this classification Martin is followed by three drivers who are battling hard for second place be- tween them. These drivers are Jason Martin - Volkswagen Polo, Jonathan Camilleri - Opel Corsa and Matthew Borg - Vauxhall Nova. All are hop- ing to win second place in this clas- sification. In the Standard Autocross Class we continue to see Deane Farrugia at the front in his Citroen AX and with a substantial advantage. Deane is followed by Joseph Vella from Gozo with his Ford Fiesta and John Agius in his Peugeot 205. In the Motocross Class A Motorcy- cles Clayton Camilleri on KTM mo- torcycle continues to dominate this class. Camilleri is followed by sec- ond placed Paul Muscat on a KTM motorcycle and third placed Edward Ciantar on a Kawasaki. The race for lead continues in the three remain- ing race events of the championship. In Class B Ludvic Muscat on KTM motorcycle won a substantial advan- tage ahead of the rest. He is followed by Elvin Debono and Adam Sultana both on Kawasaki motorcycles in 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Sec- ond place in this class is still open to all.
