22 maltatoday, WEDNESDAY, 16 MARCH 2016 Sport MOTORSPORTS PHOTOGRAPHY BY MARIO MICALLEF ASMK Autocross and Motocross next Sunday at Ta' Qali Bonello and Scicluna lead in Trials ON Sunday 20 March 2016 'Assoc- jazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi' will continue the ASMK Pasta Poi- atti 2015/2016 National Champion- ships at the ASMK Sports Complex at Ta' Qali. The Sunday event will be the eighth one for the Autocross Class A and B and for the Standard Class. The Motocross Motorcycles Class A and B will be running their 4th event of the Championship. The program starts at 11: 00am. Meanwhile, an overview of the classification of the National Au- tocross Championship we still find that Christian Mark Galea on a Fiat Ritmo is still leading the top Autocross Class currently with 139 points. Galea is followed by Mal- colm Borg on an Opel Corsa with 102 points. In the National Auto- cross Standard Class Champion- ship Deane Farrugia is still leading the scale on his Citroen AX with 44 points. Traydon Bailey on his Ford Ka is second placed with 36 points. In Class B Autocross we see that Joseph Micallef on an Opel Corsa is leading this class with 38 points fol- lowed by the 34 points of Jonathan Camilleri on his Opel Corsa. The Scene in the National Mo- tocross Championship is that the Camilleri brothers Clayton and Kyle still dominate this class A. Clayton on a KTM motorcycle leads with 183 points followed by Kyle Camill- eri also on a KTM motorcycle with 152 points. In Third Position we find Edward Ciantar on a Kawasaki with 123 points. Class B Gozo Riders dominated this Class. Mario Cauchi on a Honda motorcycle leads the Class B with 163 points and is fol- lowed by Etienne Bigeni on a Honda with 147 points. In third place we find Elvin Debono riding a Kawa- saki and has won 140 points. Meanwhile on Sunday 13th March 2016 the Association organized the fourth Trials event. This was or- ganized in Tal-Malghaq quarry in Qrendi. The day's competitors were divided into two classes. In Class A great competition took place be- tween four competitors where Da- mon Bonello on Gas Gas dominated this class by winning the Class A and finishing with only 8 penalty points. Damon was followed in sec- ond place by Joseph Scicluna on a Gas Gas who closed the day with 20 penalty points. Third place was won by Rowen Bonello on a Beta but with 26 points of penalty. In Class B saw the Ian Scicluna on a Beta dominating this class and ended the day by winning his class with only 16 penalty points. Sciclu- na was followed by Manuel Camill- eri on a Gas Gas who closed the day with 39 penalty points. Next event will be published soon.
