MADC brings back classic English comedy 'SHE Stoops to Conquer'; Oli- ver Goldsmith's classic comedy about mistaken identity, decep- tion and love is making a return this month with performances at the Manoel Theatre and Sale- sian Theatre. First performed in London in 1773, this play is one of those rare comedies that have succeeded in remaining funny and still relevant more than 200 years later – enjoying regular runs the world over. The story sees the cripplingly shy Charles Marlow being sent by his father to Mr Hardcastle's country home so as to introduce himself to his daughter Kate. On the way there, Charles gets lost and even- tually arrives at Mr Hardcastle's house thinking that he's at a road- side inn instead. Young Charles behaves accordingly – much to the disgust of the old-fashioned Mr Hardcastle. When Kate learns about the mistake, rather than set Charles straight, she pretends to be a barmaid so that his behav- iour around her will be a lot less reserved and extremely informal. 'She Stoop to Conquer' is di- rected for the MADC by com- edy veteran Malcolm Galea ('Marti Martek, Martek Marti', 'Porn: the w') with Marylu Cop- pini, Stephen Oliver, Tina Rizzo, Andre Agius, Joe Depasquale, Giulia Gatt, Gianni Selvaggi, Michael Mangion and John Marinelli Goldsmith 's trickery and mis- understandings create truly comic situations that are not to be missed! The show runs at the Salesian Theatre from the 17 to the 19 March, before transferring to the Manoel Theatre from the 23 to the 26 March. Kindred Group is committed to offering customers the best value deal and user experience, whilst ensuing a safe and fair gambling environment. The EU Recom- mendation is the first objective standard for industry best prac- tices across the European Single Digital Market and was adopted as part of the 2012 EU Action Plan on Online Gambling. The independent audit was conducted by eCOGRA, a lead- ing audit body accredited in sev- eral countries, and examined key elements of Kindred Group's op- erations, focusing on the Recom- mendations' six core principles: 1. Transparent information and communications on the na- ture of gambling 2. Commercial communication (advertising and sponsorship) should be carried out in a re- sponsible and transparent manner 3. Verification process for the age and identity of players 4. Measures to prevent minors from gambling, including strict minimum age require- ments 5. Responsible gaming tools to keep gambling under control and prevent problems, such as deposit limits, informa- tion, customer support and self-exclusions 6. Provision of training to em- ployees, notably on problem gambling issues Kindred Group CEO, Hen- rik Tjärnström, said "Kindred Group continues to raise the bar for responsible gambling and customer trust. The suc- cessful completion of this in- dependent audit once again demonstrates that we have the right practices, technology and people in place to provide a safe and secure experience for our customers". Besides these best practices, the recommendation also ac- knowledges that for the major- ity of adult EU citizens, online gambling is a recreational ac- tivity and the importance of an attractive regulated offer as "online players look for com- peting gambling opportunities whenever they perceive a lack of attractive offers. For the major- ity of people in the EU who take part in online gambling, it is a recreational activity."
