How did you choose Malta as the base for your business and how has the company grown in these past seven years? Malta was, and continues to be, a major international iGaming hub and we wanted to be at the forefront of the industry so that we could react to changes within it. When we started Betting Connections in 2010, there were only three iGaming recruitment com- panies in Malta and we saw the opportunity to offer personal recruitment solutions that invest time getting to know both clients and candidates, and their needs. We endeavor to find the best candidates on the market and place them in roles that suit their personal- ity, skillset, and the long term aims of our clients. Driven by honesty and transpar- ency, the high level of personal service that we offer has led to organic growth over the years as clients return to us when looking for new staff and candidates return to us when looking to take a new step in their career. Our international reach continues to grow and we now work in fifteen different countries, operating as an extension of our clients' teams and an ongoing source of career consultation for the individuals we work with. As the international iGaming industry continues to grow, year on year, so too do we, and we anticipate this continuing in the future. In your opinion, why should one consider a career in iGaming? iGaming is a lucrative, fast paced, and expanding industry that is constantly evolving. In general, individuals who move into the iGaming industry can expect to receive highly competitive salaries and positive working environments with strong opportunities for career progression, inter- nationally and locally. iGaming is typically very multicultural with many companies incorporating flat structures, and once you become involved in the industry, there are excellent opportunities to grow within the digital space. For career driven individuals, this offers a highly positive work-life balance. Is there any advice that you would offer to someone looking to get into iGaming for the first time? For anyone who is looking to get into the iGaming industry for the first time, we advise that you focus on your area of skill and demonstrate initiative to learn further skills. As a dynamic industry, iGaming is always looking for bright individuals to help develop the industry. If a candidate can demonstrate that they are hardworking, professional, a team player, and capable of applying relevant knowledge in the correct way, we can offer a personal recommendation to our clients to help secure that all important first interview, helping them to get involved in the iGaming industry. What led to the set-up of the sister company Spot-on connections? And what industries does it service? Due to the high quality of our recruit- ment solutions and consultancy, we found ourselves being approached by clients outside of the iGaming industry who were looking for staffing solutions. In order to prevent a loss of focus on the iGaming industry, we decided to set up a completely new company that would initially focus on the finance, legal, and tech- nical industries – this is SpotOn Connections. This company also turned out to be very suc- cessful and we have now expanded to cover international recruitment solutions across all industries with a huge demand for lan- guage speakers. We work in fifteen different countries across Europe and opened a second SpotOn Connections office in Portugal at the start of this year to cope with the high level of demand for our international recruitment solutions. The opening of this office has been very successful, allowing us to connect with more clients across Europe, and we will be opening a new office in Mullingar, Ireland, at the start of next year. This office, the fourth in our Connections network, will host Bet- ting Connections and SpotOn Connections recruitment teams. As people become more aware of us, demand increases, and we are prepared to keep expanding in order to meet the needs of our clients. What distinguishes Betting Connections and Spot On Connections from the many competitors out there? We offer personalised recruitment solu- tions, taking the time to get to know all of our clients and candidates so that we can make the perfect match.
