4 maltatoday, MONDAY, 5 JUNE 2017 Playing the waiting At the Naxxar counting hall, veteran and new candidates alike put on a stoic face - most force a permanent smile - as they wait for the outcome of the vote counting. From 10am on Sunday, when the votes started being counted, the corridors in Naxxar filled with candidates and their trusted agents, who joined party representatives at the perspex windows, watching to make sure the assistant electoral commissioners did not do them any disservices.
