maltatoday, SUNDAY, 4 FEBRUARY 2018 48 Events THE Quad is a landmark pro- ject that has recently been launched in the market. The vision for this site includes a combination of location, de- sign, facilities, sustainability, and designation that has no equal. A joint project between the Tumas and Gasan Groups of Companies, the project in- cludes four towers ranging from 13 to 19 floors. Covering 44,000sqm of mixed Grade A office and commercial space with five underground levels for park- ing, accommodating over 1,300 vehicles, The Quad will set the bar for the central business district concept in Mriehel by providing a unique address and further solidify- ing the area into a recognised business centre. With a site ar- ea of 11,200sqm that includes 6,000sqm of piazzas and open landscaped areas, the project will deliver a modern, tranquil working environment to key local and global tenants. The Quad is on the road to achieving Platinum Leed certification, which would make it the only development in Malta to achieve this sta- tus. LEED certification is a globally recognised symbol of sustainability. Achieving platinum status is no easy feat with copious numbers of stud- ies being mandated into areas ranging from thermal studies, access, sustainability, energy and much more. Furthermore, The Quad has also been granted SDA (Special Designated Area) status, as has previously been awarded to another 12 exist- ing developments in Malta and Gozo. POPULAR singer Amber has just released her latest single – Power, from her album Redemption, and as the name suggests, it is all about the power within each and every one to change and improve them- selves. But it is also about much more than that. It is an empowering song that pushes the listeners to challenge themselves, to recog- nise that each individual has the power to make their life, and the world, a better place – or destroy it. Amber says people need to acknowledge that they are ulti- mately responsible for their own life. Everyone has battles to face in their lives, and it is the power within each one that makes the individual overcome life's obsta- cles. The lyrics and the music come together in a powerful portrayal of personal victory. The song was written by Elton Zarb, Muxu and Amber. Olwyn Jo Saliba was director and editor. The Quad – a new landmark project without equal Amber and the power within
