COMMERCIAL 14 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 27 MAY 2018 MAPFRE MSV Life has once again extended its support to- wards the International Pil- grimage of the Sovereign Mili- tary Order of Malta to Lourdes which is held at the beginning of May each year. The dona- tion was presented by Michael Galea, Chief Officer Business Development at MAPFRE MSV Life to Michael Grech, Chancellor of the Maltese As- sociation of the Sovereign Mili- tary Order of Malta. This year 7,500 members of the Order, hailing from 45 countries around the world at- tended, together with some 250 priests and 380 doctors and nurses, who assisted 1,500 sick and disabled pilgrims. Grech explained that the Mal- tese Association of the Sover- eign Military Order of Malta was amongst the national as- sociations of the Order par- ticipating at the pilgrimage, with a total complement of 360 persons, of whom 70 sick and infirm, who were assisted by members of the Order and nu- merous volunteers. The Mal- tese delegation was led by the President of the Maltese As- sociation Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata and was under the spiritual guidance of H. Emm. Prospero Cardinal Grech. This year was a special pil- grimage for many reasons – it marked the 160th anniversary of the Lourdes apparitions and also coincided with the 60th anniversary of the Sover- eign Military Order of Malta's International Pilgrimage. It also marked the first official engagement of the Order of Malta's newly elected Grand Master H.M.E.H. Fra' Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di San- guinetto, who was elected to the post on 2 May. Atlas managers serve lunch on Employee Appreciation Day MAPFRE MSV Life supports annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes THE management team at Atlas Insurance joined forces on Employee Appreciation Day to treat Atlas employ- ees to a delicious lunch. Staff could choose from a selection of pasta and desserts, which were served at the Atlas Head Office in Ta' Xbiex. Staff were also treated to a prize giveaway where a number of prizes, including a night stay at a hotel, and vouchers from clothing out- lets and spas were drawn in a raffle. Simon Mamo Real Estate appoint Helga Ellul as advisor SIMON Mamo Real Estate have appointed Helga Ellul as executive advisor to the board. The Mamo brothers, directors of the business have realised the value that Ellul brings to the table, having managed Playmobil for 30 years with over 500 staff. The company grew from one office six years ago in Naxxar to seven offices, and diversified into the sales sector in 2014. This rapid progression came with its challenges with restructuring being the name of the game. As a result an accounts and human resources department started and further administrators joined the team. The company intends to start franchising offices in 2018 under our new slogan 'Passionate about Property'. Monster Energy Drink Convention in Malta THE Monster Energy Drink convention took place in Mal- ta on Friday the 25th of May 2018. Representatives from Monster met with employees of GSD Marketing Ltd who is the official distribution of Monster Energy Drink in Mal- ta. During this convention the representatives from Monster mapped out new marketing and sales strategies and also updates about the Monster Product Range. This conven- tion was held at Café Del Mar. Moreover a collaboration between GSD marketing Ltd and Mixologist saw the crea- tion of Monster Cocktails. The products used for these cocktails were Monster En- ergy, Monster Valentino Rossi, Monster Ultra White, Monster Ultra Red, Monster Ripper and Monster Lewis Hamilton.
