Once again, this concert promises to bring about the true Italian spirit to our shores through some of Italy's all-time favourite songs. Joined by singers Alex Schembri, Neville Refalo, Georgina, Olivia Lewis and Nadia Vella, the Malta Con- cert Orchestra will be per- forming some of Italy's great- est hits. The concert on 11 August willstart at 8:30pm. Tickets are available from www.pjazzateatrurjal.com. UNTIL AUGUST 30 Rock'N Malta Rock'N Malta will feature various concerts throughout August. Featuring Gogol Bor- dello and Brodu on 30 July, Julian Marley and The Upsid- ers, as well as ManaTapu on 18 August, Dark Tranquility, Evergrey, and Colourblind on 24 August, and Kaiser Chiefs and Bila on 30 August. AUGUST 18 Ira Losco & Special Guests – Women In Music Marking this year as her 15 years of Music, Ira Losco will be hosting a unique con- cert celebrating Women In Music at Pjazza Teatru Rjal. Joined on stage by her amaz- ing live band and several spe- cial guests the concert will include her well known hits, new songs from the recently released double album 'No Sinner No Saint' as well as some Iconic songs celebrat- ing well known female artists who have shaped the music landscape throughout the past years. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE AUGUST 14-15 Summer Daze Malta Summer Daze Malta will feature three main events. Tuesday 14 will see two events. A free party at Ta'Qali featuring Martin Garrix, Rita Ora, Danny Howard, and more, and an after party at Numero Uno. The festival will close with a sunset pool party at Café Del Mar on Wednesday 15, with Roger Sanchez, Monki and Kristen Knight. Electronic music enthu- siasts from all over the world are once again called to gather at the gates of the mystical House-and-Techno fortress for a sonic adventure on the sun-drenched Mediterranean island of Malta. From rooftop pool parties to secret ancient vaults, boat party mayhem and more! SEPTEMBER 1 -2 Sickfest '18 Malta's Alternative / Elec- tronic Summer music fes- tival is back! The event will have five areas, six live bands and 28 DJs. Bands including Fuzzhoney, Kill The Action and Eyes to Argus will be per- forming. There will also be a silent disco with two simulta- neous music channels blast- ing out tunes on hundreds of wireless headphones. THEATRE SEPTEMBER 6-9 Boulevard Teatru Manoel and Teatru Malta join forces to present an adaption of one of Fran- cis Ebejer's greatest theatrical works on the 25th anniversa- ry of his death. This new pro- duction features leading Mal- tese actors and dancers from ZfinMalta directed by Toni Attard and choreographed by Paolo Mangiola. The play will be performed in Maltese. Tickets can be bought from the Teatru Manoel website. SEPT 14 -23 Stitching The banned play, Stitch- ing, will finally be showing in Malta, at the Manoel Thea- tre next September. Anthony Neilson's masterpiece dealing with loss will be shown after it was banned for many years, hosted by Unifaun Theatre Production. Tickets for the 18+ play can be found on the Teatru Manuel Website at 20 euro. EVENINGS ON CAMPUS AUGUST 11-12 Family Ties Uncle Wilfred is dead. His will has not been found and so all his vast fortune is tied up with bureaucratic red tape. Two cousins, Anthony and Za- ren who do not like each other at all, along with their signifi- cant others, have had the idea to break into their deceased uncle's remote country house to look for a copy of the will. They intend to use the will if it's in their favour or destroy it if it is not. So, one stormy night both couples break into the old house to carry out their mean plan. However, they both did not expect the other couple to be there. Nor did they expect their old un- cle's stories of a ghostly bride wandering the rooms at night to be true. Tickets from http:// ticketline.com.mt FESTIVALS AUGUST 9-12 Delicata Classic Wine Festival The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is back for its 17th consecutive edition. As al- ways, the festival will be held at the Upper Barrakka Gar- dens in Valletta, between the 9th and 12th of August. Entrance is free, with wine glasses and purses sold until 11pm and wine poured up to 11:30pm. Live cooking stalls will be serving a tempting va- riety of both traditional Mal- tese and international dishes to tease a wide range of pal- ates. AUGUST 24 - 26 Malta Craft Beer Festival 2018 The first ever edition of the Malta Craft Beer Festival will take place in St Elmo on the 24, 25 and 26 of August 2018. With the best craft beer brands on the island, some of the finest street food you can find and the top alternative bands and DJs, this festival is set to become a fixed ap- pointment in your summer calendar. More details can be found on https://www.face- book.com/craf tbeerfestival. mt/ SEPTEMBER 17 - 24 The Bubble 2018 – A Festival of Life The Bubble returns to Malta this September for a week- long festival of music, art and workshops all celebrating the magical essence of life. The non-profit event will be mark- ing its 8th edition this year, once again aiming to spread positive awareness of the en- vironment, the arts and com- munity in a festive and en- gaging way. And that means 100% of the funds raised from the festival go to environmen- tal and humanitarian causes. ACTIVITIES AUGUST 11 Sleepover at Ghar Dalam Heritage Malta is offering an opportunity to enjoy the cultural and natural herit- age in the vicinity of Għar Dalam Cave in a different at- mosphere and to sleep in the open air in a safe and tranquil environment from Saturday 11 August to the following Sunday morning. Refresh- ments, in the form of a light evening meal and breakfast, will be served. The number of tickets available is limited and booking is on a first come first served basis. Tickets for the price of €25 for adults, €21 for seniors, students and children, and €20 for Heritage Malta members are available from all Heritage Malta mu- seums and sites and online from the agency's website. AUGUST 17 Birgu Ghost Tour The beautiful and ancient maritime city of Vittoriosa, or Birgu as it is known by the Maltese, is the oldest settle- ment in the Grand Harbour area. Ideally situated for safe anchorage, the area has been occupied since prehistoric times, developing strong con- nections with maritime, mer- cantile and military activities over the centuries. This tour is a normal-paced walking tour of Vittoriosa by night. It is gen- erally accessible but includes streets with stairs that offer no alternative method of passage.
