Mal- Baħar / Conversations with the Sea is a site-specific installation along the San Ġorġ Breakwa- ter Pontoon (located next to the Birżebbuġa Local Council) which aims to create a physical and experiential path along the pontoon through the position- ing and the interaction with ob- jects in the space. These objects recall familiar settings and fos- ter a thought journey through the locality's past, present and possible future events. SEPTEMBER 9 League of Legends EU Summer Finals 2018 Eden Cinemas are hosting a live broadcast screening of the League of Legends Summer Finals 2018. Riot's League of Legends is the biggest online game in the world, launched in 2009 and with over 80 million monthly players worldwide. The Palacio Vistalegre in Ma- drid will host one of the most passionate crowds in Europe and the audience can experi- ence all of the action and ener- gy on the big screen in stunning high definition alongside other League fans. SEPTEMBER 9 Holi Malta 2018 Hundreds of people, dressed in white, come together to share in music, dance and vis- ual euphoria during Holi Malta. Be part of this colourful experi- ence, inspired by the Indian fest Holi: People paint themselves with various colours and throw colourful powder in the air to express the freedom and to colour their everyday life. The most important thing is that on this day all castes of the Indian caste-system are nullified and put out of force. On this day of celebration all people are sup- posed to be equal! This is where the idea to bring this festival to the rest of the world comes from. SEPTEMBER 21- 23 Malta Military Tattoo The Malta Military Tattoo 2018, will be held on the 21 - 23 September 2018 St George's Square, Valletta. The Malta Military Tattoo, is a yearly event which features mili- tary bands and other elements which come together to provide a spectacular show for audienc- es of all ages.The music played combines popular tunes, with the more classical and are all performed in the context of a Military March parade to pro- vide a spectacular experience for everyone to enjoy. The mu- sic chosen appeals to all ages. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE SEPTEMBER 8 Otto Knows at Ministry of Sound Malta Ministry Of Sound presents the Swedish super star Otto Knows. Known for his smash hit song "Million Voices". Head- lining at Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland and now for this special event in Malta. He has collaborated with artists in- cluding Britney Spears, Avicii, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso and has made remixes for ATB, Imogen Heap, Lindsey Stirling and others. He is best known for his songs like "Starlight (Ot- to Knows Remix)", "Parachute", "Next to Me", "Dying for You" and "Million Voices". Tickets can be found on their Facebook event. SEPTEMBER 9 The Aristocrats The Aristocrats are hitting the road in September 2018 for select dates in Europe! The band will be performing at Te- atru Salesjan on 9 September for a massive night featuring Guthrie Govan, Marco Minne- mann and Bryan Beller! SEPTEMBER 15- 16 Elrow Malta – Psychedelic Trip Elrow has finally arrived in Malta! The international party which promises craziness and confetti will be held on the is- land on the 15-16 September at UNO, Ta Qali. The event will include the likes of Dubfire, Camelphat, Toni Varga, Andrea Campo, and homegrown Carl Bee. Tickets can be bought on https://www.ticketarena.com. mt/ticket/?event=427874 Cliff Zammit Stevens – 10th Anniversary Concert The hugely-talented and in- ternationally-renowned tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens returns to Malta for his largest solo concert to-date, in a night of unforgettable music in celebra- tion of the 10th anniversary of his career. He will be joined by special guest Ira Losco. The concert will be held for one night only on 3 October 2018, in St George's Square in Val- letta. The concert will also sup- port The Marcy Foundation, which was launched in August this year in honour of Zammit Stevens' mother, who passed away last year. THEATRE SEPTEMBER 6-9 Boulevard Teatru Manoel and Teatru Malta join forces to present an adaption of one of Francis Ebe- jer's greatest theatrical works on the 25th anniversary of his death. This new production features leading Maltese actors and dancers from ZfinMalta di- rected by Toni Attard and cho- reographed by Paolo Mangiola. The play will be performed in Maltese. Tickets can be bought from the Treatru Manoel web- site. SEPT 14 -23 Stitching The banned play, Stitching, will finally be showing in Mal- ta, at the Manoel Theatre next September. Anthony Neilson's masterpiece dealing with loss will be shown after it was banned for many years, hosted by Unifaun Theatre Produc- tion. Tickets for the 18+ play can be found on the Teatru Manuel Website at 20 euro. SEPTEMBER 14- 16 Kazin Barokk Każin Barokk is a Valletta 2018 project and consists of a hybrid performance where visuals and music intertwine, taking extracts from "Le Jouer" by Francois Renard. The per- formance explores if and how Maltese culture is being gam- bled away. This promises to be a soul-searching journey where art, people, robotics, past, pre- sent and future come together to form a 'Baroque pastiche' based on local, contemporary identities. Kazin Barokk will take place at Notre Dame Gate Triq Il - Kottonera, Vittoriosa. SEPTEMBER 28-29 Sfumat Sfumat recounts the story of Alex, in the words and actions of those around him, particu- latly his father Charles, and his daughter Maria. Alex nev- er appears on the play, with the audience forming their own opinion based on what the other characters reveal. The production, held at the Salesian Theatre, also marks ten years of the Salesian Wor- ship Team. FESTIVALS SEPTEMBER 9-16 Malta Pride 2018 'Pride at the Heart of the Mediterranean' will be the over-arching theme of this year's Malta Pride. Malta has obtained the top place on IL- GA Europe's Rainbow Map for LGBTQ Equality Rights. A week of Pride activities will be taking place between the 9th and 16th September with daily events that will revolve around themes of the LBGTQ cul- ture, including physical/sexual health, mental health, Drag & Queer Literature. Some great night events are being planned for the weekend which include Lollipop Pride Party on the 14th September and S2S Pride Party on the 15th September which is already confirmed.
