It will shed light on a dichotomous community – a hybrid way-of-life which seeks to negotiate between a historic vocation to explore space, and a contemporary human need to be connected. UNTIL AUGUST 31 Exploring The Phoenician Shipwreck off Xlendi Exploring the Phoenician Shipwreck off Xlendi, Gozo is the latest Heritage Malta exhibition.The exhibition fo- cuses on the discovery of a Phoenician shipwreck which dates back to 700 BC. Discov- ered off Xlendi in 2007, at a depth of 110m, this intriguing ancient vessel has attracted worldwide attention since it is the oldest wreck ever found so far in this region. The ex- hibition was officially inau- gurated by Justyne Caruana, Minister of Gozo, Anton Re- falo, Chairman of Heritage Malta, and Timmy Gambin, Head of Heritage Malta's Un- derwater Cultural Heritage Unit, at the Gozo Area Office at the Ċittadella. The public will be able to visit this exhi- bition until the 31st August 2019. Festivals UNTIL AUGUST 3 Farsons Beer Festival The Farsons Beer Festival is one of Malta's hottest sum- mer celebrations. Running over 10 days, this year from Thursday 25th July to Sat- urday 3rd August, this sum- mer outdoor festival brings together the best local music, beer and entertainment at Ta' Qali National Park. As one of Malta's most awaited summer annual events, drawing thou- sands of festival goers every night, the festival will once again feature no less than 50 local and international award-winning beers, over 50 local artists and performanc- es, and a food court offering a diverse choice of foods UNTIL TODAY Kinemastik International Short Film Festival The Kinemastik Interna- tional Short Film Festival will come to an end today at the Garden of Rest, a decon- secrated cemetery overlook- ing the Marsamxett Harbour. Kinemastik collaborates with international film-makers and festivals to bring inde- pendent films to a local au- dience. The festival is now in its 15th year. Kinemastik links local film-makers to the world of cinema, providing them with a platform for their work, through local screen- ings as well as through world- wide distribution of locally produced works. Kinemastik is supported by Arts Coun- cil Malta through a Cultural Partnership Agreement. AUGUST 2-3 Antonin Under the Stars Once again this year Marso- vin will be holding a unique wine event in their pictur- esque estate – Ramla Valley Estate, Gozo. The event will bear the name of Antonin Un- der The Stars, a name which takes after the award winning wine Antonin Blanc, made from grapes grown from the very same estate. The event is part of a series of celebrations the winery has organised this year to commemorate its 100th anniversary milestone. All this in the idyllic setting of Marsovin's – Ramla Valley Estate, in Gozo. Tickets are available from ticketline.com. mt or from the Marsovin Cel- lars – Renfrew Street, Marsa. AUGUST 9 The Great Vegan & Vegetarian Event A celebration of vegetarian and vegan dishes spread be- tween different themed stalls is being at Ramla Bay Resort, in Mellieha. All of the stalls will include vegan, vegetar- ian, gluten free and no refined sugar options… This is a stand-up event, however there will be free seating available on the beach and terraces. Seating will be on first come, first serve basis. A Mojitos bar and a Fresh Juice bar will be available serving a good variety of mojitos and juices. Beverages are purchased sep- arately. Price includes food & entrance: Adults €26.00, Children 5 -14 years €12.00. Music UNTIL 4 SEPTEMBER Ginn Jazz Nights The Gin Jazz Nights are back at Palazzo de Piro.
