The 2019 event will be held in aid of the Terry Time Trust, with the goal of honouring the beloved DJ and radio manager Terry Farrugia, who passed away on 31 May this year and who had been battling cancer. The concert pays tribute to him and his hard work within the local music scene, as well as raiseing funds to help and sup- port his family with pending medical costs. This year's Rock in the Forest will be offering a true feast of classic, modern and contemporary rock hits, among them songs from the likes of Queen, Pink Floyd, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Zuc- chero, AC/DC, Metallica, Green Day, Bon Jovi, U2, Anouk, Alice Cooper, Lady Gaga, Oasis and many more. SEPTEMBER 1 The Annual Musical Concert The Choral and Orchestral Society Maria Bambina A.D. 1947 of Mellieħa will be holding its annual concert on Sunday 1st September, at 8:15pm in the Mellieħa Parish Square. This concert has become a trademark of the Victory day celebrations, having had its first edition in 1992. It will cover various musical styles, ranging from classical to contemporary music, and it is sure to please everyone's tastes. The main protagonists of this concert are going to be the choir and the orchestra, the singers Claire Caruana, Ludwig Galea, Sarah Bonnici, together with the Marsa Pipes and Drums and Paul Curmi Dancers under the musical direction of Mro. Michael Bonanno. The admission for this concert is free. 20-22 SEPTEMBER Malta Military Tattoo The Malta Military Tattoo 2019 will be held between the 20th and 22nd of September 2019 at St George's Square, Valletta. The Malta Military Tattoo, is a yearly event which features military bands and other elements which come together to provide a spec- tacular show for audiences of all ages. The music played combines popular tunes, with the more classical and are all performed in the context of a Military March parade to pro- vide a spectacular experience for everyone to enjoy.
