March registered the highest number of trips – 2,722 or 34.6 per cent of total trips for the quarter. During January-March 2024, passenger traf- fic originating from Ċirkewwa was busiest on Fridays and Saturdays, and vehicle traffic orig- inating from Ċirkewwa was busiest on Fridays and Thursdays. On the other hand, from the Mġarr terminal, passenger traffic was busiest on Sundays and Saturdays, while vehicle traffic was highest on Sundays and Mondays. Sea transport between Mġarr and Valletta During the first quarter of 2024, a total of 1,735 trips were carried out carrying a total of 156,181 passengers. When compared to same quarter in 2023, the number of trips increased by 103.2 per cent and the number passengers increased by 115.1 per cent. March registered the highest number of trips – 593 or 34.2 per cent of total trips for the quarter and the highest number of passengers – 62,076 or 39.7 per cent for the quarter.
