17 countries take part in Artistic Swimming
National Championships in Gozo
ATHLETES and officials from
17 countries took part in the Ar-
tistic Swimming National Cham-
pionships held at the Sports and
Aquatic Pavilion in Rabat, Gozo
between 8 and 12 April.
A total of 220 participants
competed over five days in the
event, which was open to the
public and attracted sports
tourism to the island.
The championships were held
in Gozo for the first time and
marked the fourth edition of
the competition. Events took
place from Thursday to Sun-
day, showcasing high-level ar-
tistic swimming performances.
The competition brought to-
gether international talent and
was described as a key sporting
event for the week, as well as
an important moment for the
development of artistic swim-
ming locally.
The event was attended by
the Minister for Gozo and
Planning.
