GozoToday is a weekly newspaper focused primarily on Gozo. It hopes to serve as a source of information on business, culture, entertainment and of course current affairs. The summer programme is designed both for residents and visitors, with the aim of reinforcing Gozo's position as a year-round destination offering authenticity, cultur- al experiences, and tourism value beyond the traditional beach season. This year's schedule includes a mix of established and new events such as village feasts, the Gozo Food Festival, Xwe- jni Music Fest, Opera vs Pop Under the Stars, Rock Leg- ends, the Gozo Ceramic Fes- tival, the Gozo Film Festival, Levant Music Fest, Gozo Pup- pets Festival, as well as evening events like Ħondoq by Night and live performances at the Cittadella. The programme is intended to animate towns and villag- es across the island, turning squares and open spaces into cultural hubs throughout the summer. Summer months in Gozo packed with activities that celebrate the island's heritage The programme can be found at eventsingozo.com A diver was rescued on Wednes- day afternoon on the coast of Żebbuġ, Gozo after getting into difficulty in rough sea condi- tions near Għar ir-Riħ. Emergency teams from fire stations 6 and 7 were dispatched following reports that the diver was unable to safely return to shore due to worsening sea con- ditions. The rescue operation was carried out by Civil Protection Malta, with assistance from the Malta Police Force and medical staff at Gozo General Hospital. The diver was successfully brought to safety and transport- ed to hospital for further treat- ment. No further details on the condition of the casualty were immediately available. Author- ities did not release the identity of the diver.
