On Tuesday, 29 September 2026, the Bank will co-host a private discussion at Malta House, London, ex- ploring how changing interna- tional dynamics are influencing where high net worth individu- als choose to locate and manage their wealth. Josef Portelli, Managing Direc- tor of ReAPS Asset Management and Head of Investment Manage- ment at APS Bank, and Kenneth Genovese, Head of Investment Distribution at APS Bank, will discuss Malta's growing role in international wealth planning, together with the banking, invest- ment management and custody solutions available. The event will also introduce APS Bank's approach to wealth management and private banking, with guests able to arrange individual meet- ings with the APS team. Commenting on the initiative, Portelli said, "As families and in- vestors reassess their priorities in an increasingly complex inter- national environment, Malta has much to offer as a destination for managing and preserving wealth. Atlas Insurance supports Venezuela earthquake relief efforts through SOS Malta ATLAS Insurance employees have come together to support relief efforts following the re- cent earthquakes in Venezuela, raising funds to assist people impacted by the disaster. The employee initiative was supple- mented by a contribution from the company, bringing the to- tal amount raised to €1,500. The funds were presented to of SOS Malta, continuing Atlas Insurance's collaboration with the humanitarian organisation in responding to international emergencies. SOS Malta will transfer the proceeds to World Central Kitchen (WCK), which has been providing food assis- tance on the ground in Vene- zuela. Working alongside local part- ners, WCK is providing meals to families as well as orphanag- es, shelters and hospitals, while also supporting emergency re- sponders involved in the after- math of the earthquakes. Its re- sponse is focused on ensuring that people facing disruption and displacement have access to freshly prepared food at a time when normal services and everyday routines have been severely affected. Catherine Calleja, Executive Director and Company Secre- tary at Atlas Insurance, stated: "When people are facing the consequences of a humanitar- ian crisis, coming together in solidarity is one way we can offer meaningful support. I am particularly proud of TeamAt- las, whose members were the main drivers behind this ini- tiative and once again showed their willingness to step for- ward and help others. As a company, we wanted to build on their generosity and collec- tive effort, and we hope that our contribution can play a small part in supporting those affected by the earthquakes in Venezuela." In 2024, funds raised by TeamAtlas employ- ees and supplemented by the company were donated in aid of children in Gaza, while in 2022 Atlas and its employees contributed towards SOS Mal- ta's response to the humani- tarian crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine.
