Malta Survey's owner Silvio De Bono was eventually sum- moned to court to respond to claims he was commissioned to carry out the survey. Speaking to MaltaToday, De Bono described being "flabbergasted" as he had no idea why he was summoned to court. De Bono accused Vince Marmarà of falsely us- ing his company's name, ul- timately landing him in hot water. Speaking to this newspaper last Saturday, Marmarà de- nied De Bono's claim. The names of the list of ju- rors who could potentially have been chosen was in the public domain and published in the Government Gazette and accessible to all. Jurors, during the selection process, confirmed under oath they had not been tar- geted in the poll. But Judge Edwina Grima fell short of asking Marmara to provide the phone numbers that were targeted in the poll. A simple forensic exercise could disprove the worst fears of the Caruana Galizia family that potential jurors had been focus of the poll. If it is proven beyond any doubt that the poll results could have influenced the choice of jurors, it could lead to a justified reason by the prosecution in demanding a mistrial. Flight FR5883, operated by a Boeing 737 MAX 8 registered 9H-VUV, departed runway 27 at Norwich at approximately 8:30am on Tuesday morning. The aircraft was scheduled for a non-stop journey to Mal- ta International Airport in Luqa when it struck a bird dur- ing the initial departure phase. The crew halted the climb at 7,000 feet, and ground radar tracking showed the jet en- tering a holding pattern near Norwich shortly after takeoff. The aircraft remained at 7,000 feet whilst the crew worked through onboard safe- ty checklists. Air traffic control coordinated priority handling as the flight diverted west to- wards East Midlands Airport.
