40 FASHION A night of fashion and lights PHOTOGRAPHY BY DANIEL COPPINI PHOTOGRAPHY, SVETLANA PANDOLFINO, EMMA TRANTER AND BIANCA DARMANIN THE Bisazza Street Night of Fashion was held on Saturday, 28 September, and was the first event of its kind for the street. Shops opened till 10pm and many offered promotions on the night. People flocked to the street, which was teeming with activity – there were live windows by Gauda and Monsoon-Accessorize, fashion shows, celebrity guest appearances by Klikka cast and crew and many stands promoting various products and services. There was a LCN nail bar by Beauty Inc, hair demonstrations by Remington and Pierre Camille, who was also promoting a new product called WOW and Fudge crazy colour products, Eyelure applying false eyelashes, NYX doing makeovers, Smart Clinic offering beauty advice, massages by Carisma SPA and you could even donate to an animal charity sponsored by Happy Paws and promoted by Moira Delia. Guest's appetites were satiated by Café Cuba's pizzas and Giorgio's mini-burgers, while their thirst was quenched by P. Cutajar's cocktail bar and the Kinnie girls handing out Diet Kinnie. The fashion shows were by Sandro Ferrone, Swish, Miss Sixty, Monsoon, Accessorize, Nara Camicie & Gauda and Bershka, with make-up by NYX and hair by Pierre Camille. Models were supplied by models. com.mt. V Squared filmed the event and many bloggers and photographers attended. In-between the shows, Janet Vella and her foreign street dancer, Luca B. Boy Fear, wowed the audience. 'Superstition': Autumn 2013 make-up collection GABRIELLE Chanel believed in luck. Her private world was filled with talismans, which served both as good-luck charms and sources of inspiration. Her apartment on the Rue Cambon in Paris was decorated with bronze and alabaster lions, bundles of ears of wheat and the number 5 hidden in a crystal chandelier. With a hint of mischievousness, they slip into the collections, on jewellery pieces, embroidery or buttons. The Autumn 2013 collection reinterprets superstition with a playful and surrealist spirit, mixing sumptuous tones of bronze, taupe and khaki with the magic of a golden beige, intense pink or burgundy palette, like a joyful prediction of beauty. The Good Luck Duo Rouge Coco and Rouge Coco Shine team up with a new complexion must-have: Le Blush Crème de Chanel. Available in six silky shades to smooth on with fingertips, it reinvents cheek makeup and perfectly matches the lipstick shades. Le Blush Crème de Chanel – exclusive creation The new blush by Chanel is a concentration of unprecedented sensations. The classic square case changes proportions and adopts a more compact format. A desire for lightness, ensured by a cream texture with a silky feel and a satiny finish that is simply smoothed on and blended in with fingertips. Stylo Yeux Waterproof An intense, luminous line of eyeliner along the lashes in a khaki shade with bronze shimmer, further accentuates the eyes. Ombre Essentielle Le Blush Crème de Chanel enhances naturalness in six bright, luminous shades: • DESTINY Intense Beige • PRÉSAGE Apricot • RÉVÉLATION Coral Pink • INSPIRATION Soft bluish pink • AFFINITÉ Intense bluish pink • FANTASTIC Burgundy The Magic Of Bronze Sculpted with magnetic shadows, traced with intense black and illuminated with bronze reflections, the eyes keep a secret, sheltered by endless lashes. Les 4 Ombres Mystère Muted colours and precious shimmer come together in a quartet of shadows that waver between darkness and light to play with seduction. The matte khaki and intense golden khaki harmony duo is applied in striking colour blocks and blends into an intangible shade of silvery taupe, lit up by a golden ivory note. The monochrome Chanel eyeshadow comes in light lavender with HASARD and in a metallic taupe shimmer with GRI-GRI. Le Volume de Chanel As a finishing touch, an original khaki bronze shade heightens the paradoxical influence of subtle make-up. Boosted with volume, coated lashes give eyes a wideopen effect, while the unexpected radiance of bronze intensifies the mystery. Caught in a Spell Three nail colours to dress up nails in perfect harmony with the collection. Le Vernis Elixir, a pink that takes on a milky, slightly grey tone. Alchimie enhances the alliance of khaki and gold in a metallic effect. Mysterious demonstrates the impenetrable attraction of a khaki with hints of charcoal grey. Chanel is distributed by Alfred Gera & Sons Ltd
