SEPTEMBER 12 Qatt Ma Ninsa – Birgu Immersive theatre production in Birgu, inspired by the 'Qatt ma Ninsa' research initiative organised by the Valletta 2018 Foundation. Held around various venues in Birgu and featuring performers from the Teatru Manoel Youth Theatre (TMYT), under the artistic direction of Christopher Gatt, in collaboration with Heritage Malta, the Birgu Local Council and the Birgu community. SEPTEMBER 13 FAA summer evening: Screening of Treasure in Malta Film screening of Treasure in Malta (1963) and drinks organised by Flimkien Ghal Ambjent Ahjar at Villa Bologna, Attard. SEPTEMBER 14 The Hellfire Triathlon & Relay The Hellfire Triathlon and Relay will be held at Majjistral Park in Golden Bay on Sunday at 08:00. The route is spectacular, with the 1km swim in the blue seas of Golden Bay, followed by a 20km mountain bike cycle through the Majjistral Nature Reserve and an 11km trail run around the Gnejna plateau. BOOK FESTIVAL SEPTEMBER 4-6 Malta Mediterranean Literature Festival Annual festival of Mediterranean literature featuring both local and international writers, at Msida Bastion Garden, Floriana from 20:00. Noria Adel (Algeria), Clare Azzopardi (Malta), Antoine Cassar (Malta), Marc Delouze (France), Abdulrazak Gurnah (UK), Walid Nabhan (Malta), Bel Olid (Catalonia, Spain), Marlene Saliba (Malta), Peter Semolič (Slovenia), Giacomo Sferlazzo (Lampedusa), and Anna Szabó (Hungary). Also featuring musical interludes by Plato's Dream Machine and Kantilena. Short poetry films from Reel Festivals, and one directed by Kenneth Scicluna on two poems by Doreen Micallef and sponsored by V18, will be shown during the festival. Entrance to all events is free.
