Tomorrow's second programme in the 'Reporter' current affairs new series deals with health, and will discuss the operations
waiting list at Mater Dei, the Emergency Department, the workforce in the sector and the need of the hospital's expansion
because of its bed shortage.
'Reporter' will also consider the situation at the St Vincent de Paul home for the elderly, Mt Carmel Hospital and the
polyclinics. The distribution of medicines will also be discussed, together with outsourcing of work to private hospitals.
The programme's guest speakers include health parliamentary secretary Chris Fearne, PN health spokesman Claudio Grech,
MUMN's Paul Pace, and Josie Muscat, chairman of St James Hospital. Health professionals will also take part.
'Reporter' is presented by journalist Saviour Balzan, together with Ramona Frendo.
It is aired live on TVM on Mondays at 9.55pm.
