maltatoday, SUNDAY, 2 NOVEMBER 2014 39 THIS WEEK Teatru Unplugged returns to the Manoel THE 17th edition of the Teatru Unplugged concert will once again take place at the Manoel Theatre. Teatru Unplugged was co-founded by Jonathan Shaw and Nirvana Azzopardi way back in 1998 and since then has been a showcase for both well- known and upcoming Maltese artists. Teatru Unplugged is an in- imitable concert in its style and one of the Malta's national the- atre's annual highlights. Typi- cal to this unique event, this year's 17th edition will feature a number of different acts of var- ious music genres. The concept of different, yet short acts, by six or seven solo artists or bands is a winning formula providing a fast and moving concert. The show will once again be com- pèred by Josef Bonello. This year's line-up will once again take the audience on a journey of rock, pop, and clas- sic tunes as different genres, voices and style of music will be the main ingredients of the night. The audience will be enter- tained by the likes of London based pianist Berne presenting a delicate and dramatic voice, the fun loving band Gianni & Friends and Stoned with a number of Rolling Stones cov- ers. Internationally renowned and France based classical gui- tarist Simon Schembri, violin- ist Emilia Wisniewska, indie rock band nosnow/noalps, as well as duo Claire Tonna & Justin Galea will also perform in what is looking like another exceptional line-up for this edition. This year's edition will take place on December 12-14. Tick- ets at €20, €15 and €10 can be obtained from http://booking. teatrumanoel.com.mt/ Design HUB Malta Advert Fpaths.indd 1 23/10/2014 19:22
