Immersive theatrical experience at Fort Madalena in Madliena exploring wartime Europe. is structured walk-through will have us explore the training rooms and parade grounds of the fort, which will in turn serve as 15 platforms for a manifestation of war related songs from a 100 year span, as well as complementing dance, and well known war poetry. DECEMBER 5, 6 Il-Kantilena Karba ta' 500 sena, Karba ta' Żmienna Conceptural musical performance at Manoel eatre, Valletta at 20:00. e work revolves around the 'Kantilena' by Pietru Caxaro, the oldest existing poem in Maltese that we have. rough allegory this historical work will be brought into a modern day context using modern Maltese poetry, contemporary art music and choreography. e music, original concept and production are by Reuben Pace. e poetry is by Charles Flores and Simone Inguanez with choreography by Francesca Tranter Artistic director of Contact Dance Company. Doors open: 22:00. DECEMBER 20-JANUARY 4 Merry Poppins: The MADC Panto Annual MADC Panto featuring Alan Montanaro at MFCC, Ta' Qali. Set on a Mediterranean island during colonial times, the show sees Merry Poppins (Montanaro), a nanny that is not your average nanny, being summoned to look after Governor Banks' bratty children Mikey and Jane. Rest of the cast includes: Katherine Brown, John Montanaro, Joseph Zammit, Luke Saydon and Mandy Randon, among others. MNMA researches, collects, keeps and protects the works of original self-taught artists from all over the world.
