This competition, which was of a high standard, included National teams of Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Ukraine, Switzerland and Belgium together with a represen- tation of some clubs. During this competition, Mya Azzopardi and Mikela Riolo placed 2nd in the duet competition out of a total of nine duet performances. Following this success, synchro team Malta managed to make yet another podium performance plac- ing third in the team event! Mya Azzopardi also managed to secure an encouraging 5th place overall in the Solo event from a total of eleven solo performances. The Maltese synchronised swim- ming team which was made up of Mya Azzopardi, Mikela Riolo, An- dria Friggieri, Ingrid Djincharadze, Vanessa Mairangas, Pearl Calleja, Raisa Baldacchino, Lisa Fenech, Amy Grech, and Hayley Camilleri. A great result indeed which augurs well to this up and coming sport. A great well done to the efforts and dedication of Synchro coaches Saho Harada and Anja Kuhn whose ster- ling work and professionalism are an example for all!
