Events 27 maltatoday, Sunday, 10 May 2015 Marsovin has just been awarded a Gold medal for its Single Estate wine, Marnisi 2012 at the Challenge In- ternational du Vin at Bourg and Blaye, held just outside Bordeaux. The Challenge International du Vin is a prestig- ious wine com- petition which Marsovin competes in from time to time. This year, Marnisi has been awarded nothing less than a Gold medal, after being assessed from an expert panel of judges. A total of 4212 wines from 34 countries have entered this competition. Marsovin CEO, Jeremy Cassar, commented, "We are very proud with this outstanding result, since this wine competed against other premium wines and did very well. Professional wine tasters in France felt that the quality of this wine was worth a Gold medal. For us this result goes to strengthen and affirm the recognition of quality that this wine already enjoys in Malta and overseas." Marnisi is premium a D.O.K red wine blend of Cabernet Sau- vignon, Merlot & Cabernet Franc grapes grown in Marsovin's pri- vately owned estate in Marsax- lokk. This Estate has just last year celebrated its 20 year anniversary and can now also be given the sta- tus of 'OLD VINES', another sign of quality. During the launch of the new branding, Mr Alfredo Munoz, Mapfre Middlesea's President and CEO, explained that this decision would allow the company to benefit from the advantages that a prestig- ious international brand such as Mapfre can provide in today's glo- balised market. The global insur- ance group MAPFRE has been Mid- dlesea's majority shareholder since 2011. Mr Munoz stated that: "The biggest advantage we enjoy today is the fact that we belong to a global group. Mapfre operates in 47 coun- tries worldwide and has more than 27 million clients with over 38,000 employees. We can therefore tap into this expertise for the benefit of our clients, who will always have the opportunity to acquire the most innovative products and services delivered by means of the latest technology". He emphasised that Mapfre Middlesea's new brand prom- ise continues to be that of de- livering an excellent service to its clients. "This is the key to becoming the insurance company of choice", he added. Munoz explained that an- other factor which helps dif- ferentiate Mapfre Middlesea is its 24/7 call centre, which provides roadside assistance, home emergency assistance, travel assistance and claims notifica- tions round the clock, among other features. "These services provide our clients with invaluable peace of mind, and their importance is attested by the constant positive feedback we receive from clients who use these services", he said. Concluding his address, Munoz stated that "We want our clients to trust us; and to win this trust, we need to convince our clients that they can rely on us – and this mes- sage will be underlined throughout our campaign. Our brand promise will be substantiated by the introduction of new products and services, and by our determination to go that extra mile to ensure that we retain the loyalty of existing clients and win over new ones." Fernando Docampo, As- sistant General Manager, said that Mapfre Middle- sea will continue focus- ing on its clients and their needs, "because it is only by delivering what they need and expect that we will succeed in business. We will do this by further fine-tuning our business operations and ensuring the professional development and well-being of our staff. Our distri- bution network is an integral part of our family and we will continue to endeavour to give these the nec- essary tools to enable them to en- hance their relationship with their clients. On the other hand, our proximity to the Mapfre Group will continue to give us that added im- petus to further grow our business, while our partnership with Bank of Valletta will be an essential instru- ment in extending our presence across the country." Mr Docampo added that "The loyalty scheme we launched last year was extremely well received by our clients, and we intend to keep on developing this and giving our clients many more reasons to remain loyal." COM 07052015 916 LEI 213800KY94NQYH4IZU83 Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo unveiled for GT6TM video game. With a 1:1 power-to- weight ratio—875 kg and 875 bhp!—and the ability to go from 0 to 100 kph in just 1.73 sec- onds, PEUGEOT's new supercar promises a unique driving experience for Gran Turismo 6 (GT6TM) gamers exclusively on PlayStation3. With more than 15 cars already featured in the Vision Gran Turismo line-up, the lion brand has risen to the latest challenge put out by Kazunori Yamauchi, the man behind the flagship driving game, who asked automakers to design a car specifically to commemorate the game's 15th anniversary. Peugeot designers teamed up with Peugeot Sport engineers to craft an outstanding su- percar that has all the hallmarks of a high- performance endurance racer, brought to life in glorious high definition in GT6TM. At first glance, the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo re- veals a striking monolithic silhouette sculpted to sweep aside air resistance, standing just 104 cm tall, with the notable absence of nearly any aerodynamic features. The body design alone is enough to effectively stick the car to the road. The central V6 turbo 3.2L engine, just be- hind the driver, feeds its 875 bhp to the ground via six-speed manual transmission and an all- wheel-drive system comprising 22-inch al- loys in the front and 23- inch counterparts in the back. This, coupled with the lightweight design—tipping the scales at just 875 kg!—and super-responsive steering makes this the ideal steed to saddle in taking up the Gran Turismo challenge. Not to mention the car's phenomenal accel- eration, taking it from 0to100 kph in 1.73 seconds thanks to a power-to- weight ratio promising one horse- power for every kilo of kerb weight... Deceleration is equally impressive, with four ventilated Brembo carbon discs (380 mm in the front and 337 mm in the rear). Virtual drivers will have the chance to take the Peugeot Vision Gran Tu- rismo for a spin in the very near fu- ture on no fewer than 40 outstanding tracks with 107 layouts. Available ex- clusively on the PS3 in six colourways, the Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo will be released as a part of free update for Gran Turismo 6.
