The 34-year-old Malta in- ternational was voted as the MFA Player of the Year and upon receiving the honour during Friday's award ceremo- ny, Cohen said "I'm extremely pleased to have been awarded the top award for individual players for the third time in my career." He also described the past season, in which Hibernians won their 11th league title, as his best ever. Cohen beat the competition of two teammates, Andrei Agius and Clayton Failla, and two Birkirkara players, Zach Muscat and Paul Fenech. The Hibs striker is now level with former Valletta captain Gilbert Agius, who was also crowned as Malta's best player on three occasions. Hibs made a clean sweep in the awards night as their manager, Branko Nisevic, was awarded the 2014-15 Coach of the Year award while Hibs's two Brazilian players, who topped the Premier League's top scorer list, Edison Luis Dos Santos and Jorge Pereira Da Silva, came first and sec- ond in the Best Foreigner cat- egory. Birkirkara's promising mid- fielder, Ryan Camenzuli, was voted as best young player while a Hibernians player, Dorianne Theuma, also won the best player in the women's league.
