22 ON the Sunday 22 May 2016 Assocjazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi will be organizing the tenth program of ASMK Pasta Poiatti 2015/2016 Champion- ships. The program starts at 11.45am and racing starts at 12: 00 hours. The day's racing will consist of Motocross and Auto- cross who will be competing on track in an anti-clockwise direc- tion. Meanwhile a look at the Au- tocross and Motocross classes where as more time passes more added stress is placed on all those who stand the chance to win their respective championship. In the Motocross Class A we find the challenge for the leadership between Camilleri brothers with just an 11 points gap. Clayton on a KTM motorcycle leads with 208 points and lies ahead of his brother Kyle on another KTM with 197 points. Third place is won by Paul Muscat on a KTM with 144 points. In Motocross Class B the Gozo riders continued to dominate the classification. It seems that this award will be won by a Gozo rid- er. Mario Cauchi on his Honda is dominating this class B with a substantial advantage over his followers. Cauchi leads with 257 points and is followed by Etienne Bigeni with 197 points on his Honda motorcycle. Third placed Jorn Stellini on a Kawasaki won 155 points so far. In the Open Class Category for all Motocross riders irre- spective of age and experience we find leader Mario Cauchi on Honda with 94 points. Cauchi is followed by Etienne Bigeni on another Honda with 84 points. In third place is Paul Muscat on KTM with 75 points. The situation in the Autocross National Championship category shows that Christian Mark Galea on his Fiat Ritmo is approach- ing another title in this category. Galea is leading the classification with 186 points while Malcolm Borg is runner-up on his Opel Corsa with 128 points. Third placed is Joseph Micallef on an Opel Corsa with 106 points. The Category for Class A championship also states that Christian Mark Galea on a Fiat Ritmo leads with 58 points and is followed by Philip Joe Vella on an Opel Corsa with 24 points. Third place is occupied by Josef Grech on a Ford Fiesta with 22 points. The Class B category shows Jo- seph Micallef on an Opel Corsa is leading this classification with 56 points and is followed by Jona- than Camilleri on another Opel Corsa but with 33 points. Third place is shared equally between Noel Zammit on Fiat Punto and the Peugeot 106 of Jean Paul Grech both with 14 points. This is expected to change in the next race. The Classification in the Au- tocross Standard class is thor- oughly wide open as the first three competitors stand very close to each other. So far first place is occupied by the Citroen AX driven by Deane Farrugia with 45 points who is followed by Traydon Bailey on a Ford Ka with 39 points while in third place we find Ian Fenech on a Citroen AX with 35 points. Meanwhile in these past last days the ASMK Board of Disci- plines had to meet and decide on two cases in the Autocross cate- gory where in the Modified Class Josef Grech on Ford Fiesta was disqualified from his last race on Sunday 24 April 2016 and sus- pended participation in the next race too. This same panel decid- ed that Grech should have been disqualified by a black f lag in the said race which for some good reason the Black Flag was not shown on site. During the same sittings the same ASMK board also suspended Quinn Camilleri of the Autocross Standard Class from participating in the next two events following his inap- propriate behaviour as well as by his spectators supporting him during the last race event. The Association announced the activities for the coming June during which the activities will be held under artificial lighting of the track and also of the spec- tators areas. The first night event is to be held on Saturday 4th June and another one on 18 June 2016. These two events will bring the two ASMK Pasta Poiatti 2015- 2916 championships to an end. These events are to include the participation of the Autocross, Motocross and Trials sections.
