maltatoday, SUNDAY, 28 AUGUST 2016 34 Food Exclusively imported by Charles Grech & Co. Ltd, Valley Road, Birkirkara T: 2144 4400 Remole Toscana Bianco 2015 Frescobaldi, Italy The Villa di Remole, in the heart of Tuscany, is the cradle of 700 years of Frescobaldi history and tradition. Remole Bianco makes every moment of the day a memorable occasion with its refreshing crispness and delicate fruit -rich fragrances. It is the perfect partner with aperitifs, and first courses of fish, veal, and poultry. Remole Bianco 2015 has a very brilliant soft straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose is pleasantly fruity, with notes of ripe pear and clear scents of nectarine. The delicate floral notes of hawthorn melt in the mouth with a palatable and balanced taste. Tasting February 2016. As an appealing, versatile white wine with crisp, fruity aromas, Remole Bianco makes a wonderful aperitif wine, but it is a tasty partner as well with generous salads and fish-based dishes. IN days gone by if you were wandering along the Gzira seafront and your tummy started to rumble there were very limited options available to you and the likelihood was that you would have to walk the short distance to rgw sister town of Sliema in search of something to eat. Today Gzira has grown up somewhat (in the culinary world) offering a huge range of cooking styles from Italian to Lebanese, Turkish and Asian. What is so impressive about this new stretch of culinary delights is the sheer va- riety of international cuisines available and one particular restaurant that excels in this area is Incredible Asia. Though there are Asian restaurants aplenty on the island, few offer a fusion of cuisines that offer diners such a wide choice under one roof. Incredible Asia takes the very best of In- dian and Chinese cuisines and serves it in a relaxing environment. With a menu rang- ing from soups to appetizers and a variety of chicken, lamb, beef and seafood, you are guaranteed to find a dish to satisfy your craving and feast on with your friends and family. If you're in the mood for Indian cuisine, then you are in for a treat. Incredible Asia offers a selection of appetizers such as len- til crackers served with dips, perfectly sea- soned vegetable samosas, chicken pakora, and the Indian staple onion bahija, which is absolutely delicious. Making decisions is hard and Incredible Asia is aware of this and offers great assorted platters that are perfect for sharing. Tandoori chicken and a varied list of lamb and beef and other chicken courses follow. Indian food has a reputation for be- ing incredibly spicy and while some dishes offer a level of spice that is off the charts, like the Goan vindaloo dish cooked in a fiery red-hot curry sauce, there are plenty of other dishes that are medium spicy, like the korma kashmiri with lamb or beef, cooked in a velvety almond sauce, or even mild, catering to all tolerance levels. If chicken is your thing, they offer seven chicken dishes cooked in different ways to deliver robust flavours. One of the fa- vourites on the menu would have to be the chicken tikka masala – moderate on the spicy scale – cooked in a tandoori oven and finished with fresh crushed tomatoes and sun dried chillies. If you are happier eating fish then there are plenty of dishes for you including the shrimp Konkani, Bombay fish curry and fish masala. Vegetarians are also catered for with a variety of dishes that can be served as a side of a main. Though Indian food is hugely comfort- ing, some days you just feel like Chinese. Incredible Asia has a great range of Chi- nese food from fresh salads to Chinese soups, chicken, beef, vegetables, seafood, rice, noodles and of course, another fa- vourite, duck in pancakes. Everyone loves the Chinese starters, crispy wontons, spring rolls and fried prawns. For mains go for the chicken satay in peanut sauce, beef in oyster sauce, crispy lemon duck, sweet and sour chicken, sizzling beef with ginger and spring onions, special fried rice and vegetable noodles. All of these dishes come in ample portions and are perfect for shar- ing, making this a great meal to enjoy with friends. Their a la carte menu is comple- mented by a buffet. Though this in an indulgent meal and probably not good to eat too often, it makes for a great night out with friends for special occasions. INCREDIBLE ASIA 139, THE STRAND, GZIRA.
