YANNICK PACE THE Police have identified two men believed to have been in the car with Sylvester Farrugia, the 25-year-old hospital worker who was killed by a firearm last Sun- day in Marsa. Informed sources told MaltaTo- day that the men – one of whom is a former police officer – were spoken to by the police but no ar- rests were made. The police knew the victim in connection with drug investiga- tions, and it now transpires that the Police had the men's names on a list of possible suspects in connection with a recent spate of car bomb attacks. The latest car bomb, which oc- curred in January, killed Victor Calleja and the bomb is believed to have been set off remotely. The car exploded in Qormi Road, Marsa, on a Sunday morning. Before that, a bomb planted in- side a Mitubishi Pajero claimed the life of 67-year-old John Camilleri, making him the 16th target of a bomb attack since 2010. When Panamagate broke in 2016, the two men were revealed to have held the keys to Mizzi's and Schembri's plans to hive off earn- ings and use a Panamanian bank. But the Mossack Fonseca leak that revealed the names of 'Tillgate' and 'Hearnville' as the vehicles set up by Nexia BT for their two po- litically exposed clients (PEPs) also exposed the mysterious company 'Egrant'. Its owner was not disclosed in email conversations be- tween Cini and his Mossack Fonseca handler in Panama, saying only he would communi- cate details over a Skype conversation. €1.40 Murdered: Sylvester Farrugia was inside a car when he was shot dead Police investigators probing criminal ring connected to bomb attacks PAGE 2 12 13 68% of Maltese say Trump is sad.
