maltatoday, WEDNESDAY, 28 JUNE 2017 News 17 G3 Group has announced that the Pergola Hotel & Spa and the Solana Hotel & Spa, both located in Mellieha, as well as two of the Group's restaurants have been awarded the 2017 TripAdvi- sor Certificate of Excellence. While both the Pergola Ho- tel & Spa and the Solana Ho- tel & Spa had been awarded this honour in the past, it is the first time that G3 Group received four awards during the same year. The cherry on the cake were the certificates for Da Ciccio Cucina and the Tosca Restaurant. Now in its seventh year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have consistently achieved great traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodation providers, restaurants and attractions located all over the world that have continually deliv- ered a quality customer ex- perience. "G3 is honoured that the customers have recognised the efforts being done and is a remarkable vote of confi- dence to our continued busi- ness success and commit- ment to service excellence", said the group's director of operations, Daniel Grima. 9-year old wins the Tallinja drawing competition 9YEAROLD Anthea Mamo, who attends the St Benedict College Primary School in Zurrieq, is the winner of the Tallinja Drawing Competi- tion organised by Malta Public Transport, and her design will be featured on the new Child tallinja cards. Anthea's drawing, which was considered to be the most in- teresting, creative and original entry, was chosen out of over 400 entries from children at- tending 22 different primary schools all over Malta and Gozo. "We were pleasantly sur- prised by the large number of entries received, with a vari- ety of drawings displaying the children's imagination and talent," said Konrad Pulé, gen- eral manager of Malta Public Transport. "We would like to thank all the schools that par- ticipated in this competition for their support in this initia- tive." The competition was open to school children in Malta aged between five and 10. Apart from having her win- ning design printed on the child tallinja card, Anthea also won some fantastic prizes, in- cluding a year of free travel, an art set, a Maxi Micro Scooter as well as a 3D Printer for the school. Two runner up prizes were also awarded to Kirsten Azzo- pardi from St Joseph School in Blata l-Bajda and Faye Galea from St Dorothy's Junior School in Zebbug. Both won a Maxi Micro Scooter and a 3D Printer for their school. An award-winning ceremony, during which the new Child tallinja card featuring Anthea's design will be launched, will be held at the beginning of the new scholastic year in October. Malta Public Transport con- gratulated all the children who participated in this competi- tion, and who will also be re- ceiving a token gift and certifi- cate of participation. Fresh and fruity with a distinct note of freshly pressed lime, Absolut Lime is per- fect for refreshing drinks that taste like expertly crafted cocktails. During the four years since Absolut last released a f lavour, many vodka brands have released over- ly-sweet, artificially f la- voured vodkas, however, vodka-drinkers around the world were looking for natural f lavours and re- freshing drinks. To meet this need, Absolut Lime is the perfect choice for clas- sic vodka drinks with a re- freshing twist. Capturing the full es- sence of lime fruits in a vodka proved to be quite the challenge. Absolut's Director of Sensory De- sign, Per Hermansson, noted, "I've created many f lavoured vodkas in my 30-year career, however, perfecting the complexity of lime has always been a challenge. The blend we've crafted for Absolut Lime achieves everything we were looking for, offering a full-bodied character that is both complex and refreshing, and like all Ab- solut f lavours, made with natural ingredients with no added sugar." This dynamic f lavour allows Absolut Lime to give even the most simple drinks a rich character that is full bodied, yet refresh- ing. Its versatility makes it a safe choice to buy for your home or bring to a party. In addition to being great for home bartenders, it also offers a unique f la- vour profile that is also ex- citing for the world's best bartenders. After acclaimed bartend- er Toby Checchini, tasted Absolut Lime he stated, "When I invented the Cos- mopolitan in 1988, it was really in part a direct re- sult of being handed Ab- solut's new Citron vodka. Absolut has once again done it with their new Lime f lavour, which can push the exponentially ex- panding boundaries of to- day's cocktail culture." Artists to showcase contemporary works in upcoming APS Mdina Biennale THE APS Mdina Biennale – Mdina Cathedral Contemporary Art Biennale will return this November under the artistic direction of Gi- useppe Schembri Bonaci, after an agreement was reached between APS Bank and the Mdina Cathedral Chapter. A series of artistically-charged events, which will be running from this November until Janu- ary 2018, will bring the Silent City to life as most of them will take place at the historic 18th cen- tury Cathedral Museum in Mdina. Participating artists will explore the contem- porary visual culture of the Mediterranean re- gion as it has been shaped by numerous strong and vivid historical struggles. The theme this year, chosen with the assis- tance of the University of Malta's Faculty of Arts, is "The Mediterranean: A Sea of Conflict- ing Spiritualities". "We are thrilled to be working with APS Bank for the second time running. Our common ethos of promoting the arts as a response to societal developments has brought us together to provide a platform for several talented art- ists to share their impeccable and very relevant works," said Dr Giuseppe Bonaci. "The Bank is proud to be sponsoring this event which brings Malta's significant role in shaping the Mediterranean cultural landscape to the fore. We hope the Biennale will help reinforce the thought that art is an active tool that can be used by many, not the few," said Patrick Aqui- lina, Marketing Manager at APS Bank.
