Birkirkara went close again on the 50th minute. Jake Grech served Alex Nillson in a prom- ising position, but the Swedish striker lost his balance and fin- ished wide. The stripes threatened again on the 65th minute. Grech hit a low shot that sailed slightly wide. Five minutes from time, Senglea scored the all-important goal. Paz delivered the ball towards Nicolas Gonzalo Virano and the latter finished behind Philip Schranz.
