45 Events maltatoday SUNDAY 29 OCTOBER 2017 New Chanel Le Lift line-up The expert firming and anti-wrin- kle LE LIFT line is now completed by one new skincare product with instant tightening and radiance boosting effects: LE LIFT V-Flash. Enriched with vitamins, it can be used occasionally to compensate for visible signs of fatigue, or as an intensive treatment to withstand the change of seasons or a busy lifestyle. LE LIFT V-Flash is the ideal face care for women seeking an instant dose of youthful-looking radiance. This true radiance booster pro- vides an instant tensing effect. The outline of the face is redefined and the features are smoothed. Any trace of fatigue is erased, instantly! Prelude to every woman's beauty ritual, LE LIFT Lotion becomes indispensable. This moisturizing, smoothing and firming lotion balances the skin to preserve the integrity of its barrier function. Formulated with a "magnetic wa- ter" complex, it diffuses its active ingredients within the epidermis, notably the active ingredient 3.5- DA. The skin is hydrated and re- gains its suppleness and softness. It is ready to receive the skincare products applied afterwards. LE LIFT Flash Eye Revitaliser is the eye beauty "coffret" par excel- lence! With its ultra-fresh, vita- min-enriched serum roll-on and its anti-fatigue revitalising patch- es, the high-impact duo in just two steps lifts and illuminates the eye area instantly, while reducing puffiness and dark circles. Le Lift Skin-Recovery Sleep Mask At night, skin never sleeps! It works tirelessly and regenerates itself continuously as the cell re- newal mechanism goes into over- drive. This is the optimal time to apply a night care product and of- fer skin targeted anti-aging effec- tiveness. This holds true not only for the face, but also the neck and décolleté: two very delicate areas that need special care due to their thin skin and the effects of grav- ity while the body is in a reclin- ing position during sleep. This is why CHANEL has completed its expert firming anti-wrinkle line with LE LIFT Skin-Recovery Sleep Mask. Chanel is distributed by Alfred Gera & Sons Ltd Dining on Emirates - the world's largest flying restaurant Emirates serves more than 100 million meals a year with the same attention to detail in First, Busi- ness and Economy Class. Catering for more than 55 million dine-in guests a year travelling to and from 144 cities across six continents, no one understands global culinary trends better than Emirates as it serves destination-inspired cuisine onboard the world's largest flying restaurant. With a catering investment of US$1 billion per year, Emirates runs a round-the-clock kitchen with 1,200 chefs based in Dubai whipping up 12,450 recipes. The finely-tuned operation caters 590 flights a day with authentic local cuisines giving customers a taste of the destination they are going to. The airline also works closely with 25 catering partners around the world to provide the same quality of food for its Dubai-bound flights. Local flavour Emirates' focus on local flavour means it has food available from every region it flies to. Flights to Japan for example, offer authentic Kaiseki cuisine and Bento boxes served with Japanese crockery, cutlery and tea sets to ensure an unrivalled food experience on board. The airline recently launched a new menu for its Australian routes inspired by the breadth of the country's multicultural flavours and cuisines, after a 14-month pro- cess working in consultation with local chefs. The new menu features a broad range of traditional local favourites such as minted lamb sausages. Re- flecting Australia's multicultural- ism, the menu also includes Asian flavours, as well as Middle Eastern flavours and ingredients, catering to Emirates' diverse passenger mix and representing its global route network. To keep up with regional and sea- sonal food trends, Emirates chang- es its onboard menus monthly and continually reviews its recipes. The varied menus on each route are also reflected in the bread bas- kets served on board. Flavoured breads or breads produced with a sourdough base are popular on European routes, while parathas, pooris, and naan bread are served on all nine Emirates routes to In- dia. On its Middle Eastern routes, customers get to enjoy Arabic bread - Markook - a very thin un- leavened bread common in the region, and Manakesh which is ei- ther topped with Zaatar or Cheese. In premium classes, meals are served on Royal Doulton tableware with Robert Welch cutlery special- ly designed for Emirates. Global partners, best of local and artisanal produce Emirates focuses on simple, well cooked dishes that emphasise fresh ingredients of the highest quality. The airline brings the finest prod- ucts on board through long stand- ing partnerships worldwide, and supporting local suppliers and ar- tisans. This includes sourcing over 15,000 kilograms of Persian feta from the Yarra Valley in Australia each year. The olive oil served on board is exclusively from carbon neutral producer Monte Vibiano in Italy, a partnership that is now more than 15 years old. The airline also develops season- al menus where possible, such as a Christmas menu in December and specially created boxes for those fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Emirates operates daily sched- uled flights between Malta and Dubai via Larnaca, Cyprus, on a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Fun facts about appetites in the sky In 2016, Emirates' customers consumed: • 3 million eggs • 70 tonnes of strawberries • 58 million baked bread rolls • 110,000kg of hummus • 165 tonnes of salmon fillet • 27 tonnes of fresh broccoli Dining on Emirates - The world's largest flying restaurant Wellness week for Farsons Group employees In what has now become an an- nual appointment, Farsons has once again dedicated a week to promoting positive health, physi- cal activity and mental wellbeing to all employees across its Group.
