maltatoday WEDNESDAY 18 APRIL 2018 17 Events @ maltatoday ...let's get social! BNI's evening workshop on networking skills FOLLOWING the success of Malta's BNI International Networking Week event last February, Malta BNI is hold- ing – for the first time – an evening networking event, next Tuesday at 5.45pm at The Palace Hotel in Sliema. BNI referral marketing ex- pert Gavin Bain will be shar- ing his business networking expertise during a workshop entitled: "Facts tell; Stories sell". Members from the six BNI Malta chapters and guests will learn how to ex- pose their business in the simplest and easy way, how to capture the interest of people, whilst empowering them to want to refer their business by word of mouth to new potential clients. Malta BNI National Direc- tor David Bullock said this is a great opportunity for both young and established entrepreneurs, and those who work in the sales and marketing fields seeking to broaden their contacts and build new business relation- ships through networking. The workshop will be fol- lowed by a structured table networking session giving an opportunity to every- one to deliver a 60-second introduction and exchange business cards with all par- ticipants present. It is rec- ommended that one takes about 100 business cards to distribute at the event. The evening will end with a buffet dinner at the hotel's restaurant for those who wish to stay on and continue their business networking. Registrations open at 5.45pm while welcome re- freshments will be served. Participation fee for the main event (workshop and table networking) is €10 in- clusive of VAT. The fee for both the main event and buf- fet dinner is €30 inclusive of VAT. The six Malta BNI chap- ters – all named after Grand Masters – hold their re- spective weekly meetings at 7.00am, except Pinto de Fon- seca Chapter who meet at The Palace Hotel, Sliema at 12:45pm (Tuesdays). The other chapters are Ver- dala Chapter at The Palace Hotel, Sliema (Tuesdays); de Paule Chapter at Hilltop Gardens, Naxxar (Wednes- days); Wignacourt Chap- ter (Wednesdays) and De Redin Chapter (Fridays) at be.HOTEL, St George's Bay; and La Valette at Casino Maltese, Valletta (Thurs- days). Bookings and payments can be made with the leaders of any of the six BNI Malta chapters. Further informa- tion about Malta BNI and its chapters, please visit www. Therefore, BURGER KING® fulfills a wish by taking advantage of a species with a one of a kind nose to follow exactly that scent. This way the brand enables a special WHOPPER® fan to find his way to the clos- est BURGER KING® restaurant through a dog – a "WHOPPER® Dog". Nathan is 29 years old, visually impaired and loves life. His pas- sion: flame-grilled burgers from BURGER KING®. His faithful companion Flynn never leaves his side. To enjoy flame-grilled burgers whenever Nathan de- sires to, he came up with a great idea: combining the obvious. Since Flynn – the best nose in town – assists Nathan in finding his way through everyday life, Nathan asked BURGER KING® about the possibility of train- ing Flynn on the special scent of flame-grilled burgers. BURGER KING® wants every fan to get the chance to enjoy flame-grilled burgers whenever they want to, so the only appropriate answer to Nathan's request was a "YES". Therefore, Flynn was offered special training to detect the scent of flame-grilled burgers. In his new position as a "WHOP- PER® Dog", he leads his owner Nathan to the closest BURGER KING® restaurant on com- mand. Thanks to Flynn, Nathan can now enjoy his own very special BURGER KING® mo- ments whenever and wherever he wants to. BURGER KING® filmed the process and released a video of Nathan and Flynn which can be viewed on https:// www.facebook.com/bkmalta/. "Our film around the WHOP- PER® Dog takes up a relevant topic. At the same time it proves that our flame-grilled burgers are not only an advantage when it comes to taste, but also in case of finding your way to the best burgers," said Isabelle Hyzler, Food Chain Marketing Execu- tive. BURGER KING® is looking forward to welcoming every WHOPPER® fan at their restau- rants – it does not matter if hu- man or a human's little helper that share the same passion for flame-grilled burgers. The BURGER KING® franchise is operated in Malta by Food Chain Limited, a member of the Farsons Group.
