Ciantar and Degiorgio (-77kgs) battled in the Men Group B category and both man- aged to secure a personal best on their re- spective clean and jerk lifts with 122kgs and 104kgs respectively. This result placed the Maltese athletes in 1st and 3rd position in the under 77kgs category with a total of 212kgs and 185kgs respectively. On the other hand, Micallef (-94kgs) was competing in the Men Group A category. With his confidence and experience, the Maltese athlete managed to secure a per- sonal best in both the Snatch (107kgs) and Clean & Jerk (131kgs). With a total of 238kgs he positioned himself in 3rd place of the un- der 94kgs.
