The new Valletta Card is a 24-hour card, which offers travel options to and from the City by bus or by ferry, travel within the city by bus and access to tourist attractions in Valletta. "This is the first product that includes non-travel benefits for our customers," explained Daniel Grech, Commercial Director at Malta Public Transport. "We be- lieve that no visit to Malta would be complete without experiencing the grandeur of our capital city and we have collaborated with our partners to offer our customers an easier way to explore Valletta with this new card." The new Valletta card includes travel to and from Valletta from any location in Malta using the public transport buses; travel to and from Valletta by ferry from Sliema and Cospicua using Val- letta Ferry Services; travel within Valletta using Route 133 – the cir- cular route; and entrance to three of any of the following attractions: The Palace State Rooms, The Pal- ace Armoury, The National Mu- seum of Archaeology and Malta 5D. The General Manager of the Valletta Ferry Services, operators of the efficient ferry services be- tween Sliema and Valletta and the 3 Cities and Valletta, Joseph Sant Fournier said, "The all new Vallet- ta Card is the third collaboration between Malta Public Transport and Valletta Ferry Services." He said that "the company has no doubt that, just like the suc- cess of the ExplorePlus as well as the fusion between the Ferry Ser- vices and the tallinja card, which may be used to travel on the Ferry Service, the Valletta Card will be a huge success as it enables pas- sengers to travel between Valletta, Sliema and the 3 Cities hassle free by using the new card." Heritage Malta's acting CEO Noel Zammit explained, "This is the first time that Heritage Malta is collaborating with Malta Public Transport through this project. We believe that this initiative will be beneficial to our custom- ers who ultimately will be offered a more flexible and cost effective option to visit the capital city." The Valletta Card en- ables the independent traveller to reap the full benefits of their visit to the Capital City," commented Mariella Erdogan, Sales Manager at Malta5D. "We believe that the Malta5D show offers our guests a general overview of the local his- tory and culture thus enabling them to set off to discover Valletta and its neighbouring towns with the required information.
