Thabbat Xtaqtek - Fra Gioele Galea Published by Horizons Father Gioele Galea's Thabbat Xtaqtek is a diary/memoir recounting the author's authentic experience at the Saint Girolamo hermitage in the green heart of Perugia. It is immediately more than that. The prose is more than diaristic, it is a subtle and elegant narrative depicting a persona in search of God, experiencing the despair of doubt. The memoir features the panorama of valleys and crags, the many dialogues between the hermit and cynical visitors and the search for God. It is, ultimately, a writer's clever and philosophical attempt at dialogue with the divine. Solar Bones - Mike McCormack Mike McCormack's one-sentence novel this week won the International Dublin Liter- ary Award. 'Solar Bones' is the Galway author's fifth book, but undoubtedly his most read. The novel is written in a single sentence that flows over 270-odd pages, and spans a single day: All Souls' Day, when, according to superstition, the dead can return to the land of the living. Florida – Lauren Groff Author Lauren Groff has released her latest short-story collection from Fates and Fu- ries, 'Florida'. The stories in this collection span characters, towns, decades, even centuries, but Florida – its landscape, climate, history, and state of mind – becomes its gravitational centre. Be careful, this book is hard to pick up and impossible to put down. What to watch, listen to and read this week Movies and TV shows Music Books Thabbat Xtaqtek Fra Gioele Galea
