The exhibition has been organised entirely by the students them- selves, and all the artists and their lecturers will be present at the opening event. Entrance is free and refreshments will be available. MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT JULY 30 – AUGUST 30 Rock'N Malta Rock 'N Malta will feature various concerts through- out August. Featuring Gogol Bordello and Brodu on 30 July, Julian Marley and The Upsiders, as well as Mana- Tapu on 18 August, Dark Tranquility, Evergrey, and Colourblind on 24 August, and Kaiser Chiefs and Bila on 30 August. Ticket informa- tion and purchase is available from the Rock 'N Malta page on Facebook. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE AUGUST 14-15 Summer Daze Malta Summer Daze Malta will feature three main events. Tuesday 14 will see two events. A free party at Ta'Qali fea- turing Martin Garrix, Rita Ora, Danny How- ard, and more, and an after party at Numero Uno. The festival will close with a sunset pool party at Café Del Mar on Wednesday 15, with Roger Sanchez, Monki and Kristen Knight. Book your tickets on summer- dazemalta.com. THEATRE JULY 13-22 MADC As You Like It Directed by Philip Leone- Ganado and starring some of Malta's best established and up-and-coming actors, accompanied by live music, MADC presents a fresh and accessible take on the clas- sic comedy under the stars in the inimitable setting of San Anton Gardens. Performanc- es run from Friday 13th to Sunday 22nd July at 8:30pm. There will be no performance on Sunday 15th July. Tickets at 15 euro and 20 euro. Opening night tickets at only 12 euro. JULY 18- 29 IL-Hanina Maddalena Il-Hanina Maddalena is tipped to be the biggest spec- tacle this summer. The music by esteemed maestro Dominic Galea, penned by Simon Bar- tolo with lyrics by Loranne Vella with audience favourites Chiara, Amber, and Leontine in the lead roles. Directed by Josette Ciappara and from the same producers of Balzunetta Towers, this is expected to be this summer's best seller. Get your tickets now! JULY 20-22 Baxx Baxx Baxx Baxx is a devised thea- tre piece which is inspired by characters from Clare Azzo- pardi's book 'Kulħadd Ħalla Isem Warajh'. The piece opens with a familiar landscape where characters connect with each other and the world around them, until their rou- tine is interrupted. Charged with the theme of obsessions, the piece analyses how a nu- cleus of people reacts when their perspectives are chal- lenged. SEPT 14 -23 Stitching The banned play, Stitch- ing, will finally be showing in Malta, at the Manoel Thea- tre next September. Anthony Neilson's masterpiece, dealing with loss, will be shown after it was banned for many years, hosted by Unifaun Theatre Production. Tickets for the 18+ play can be found on the Teatru Manuel Website at 20 euro. FESTIVALS JULY 16-21 Malta Jazz Festival The Malta Jazz Festival is back this July. This year's edi- tion will be held between the 16th and 21st July. The main concerts are held on Thursday 19, Friday 20 and Saturday 21 in Valletta. The weekend will feature various local and in- ternational artists, as well as Jazz Island, a visual journey through 27 years of the Malta Jazz Festival. JULY 19-22 Malta International Food Festival Malta's unique for- tified medieval city Mdina will be host- ing the 4th edition of the Malta Interna- tional Food Festival between Thursday 19 and Sunday 22 July; 4 days of gas- tronomic alfresco eating and drinking, culture & history, as well as entertain- ment for everyone. Designated food areas are carefully decorated to give the visitors the oppor- tunity to virtually transport themselves to the countries and regions being de- picted through the culinary expertise of the chefs. JULY 20-22 Marsovin Wine Festival The Marsovin Summer Wine Festival is back! As al- ways the event plans to have a highly cultural and enter- taining concept, by present- ing a myriad of professional musicians performing daily, whilst offering a vast selection of over 30 certified D.O.K. and I.Ġ.T. quality wines from grapes grown around Malta and Gozo. All of the wines can be enjoyed by visiting the different wine bars, carefully spread around Hastings Gar- dens. A 20 euro entrance fee for all those attending is being introduced and tickets can be bought from The Master Cel- lar in Naxxar and Marsovin Cellars in Paola. JULY 26 – AUGUST 4 The Farsons Beer Festival The 38th edition of the Far- sons Beer Festival will be held from Thursday, 26th July to Saturday, 4th August 2018. The Farsons Beer Festival is one of Malta's hottest sum- mer celebrations. Running over 10 days, the outdoor fes- tival brings together the best local music, beer, and enter- tainment at Ta' Qali National Park. The festival is one of Malta's most awaited summer annual events, drawing thou- sands of festival goers every night. Entrance is free. AUGUST 9-12 Delicata Classic Wine Festival The Delicata Classic Wine Festival is back for its 17th consecutive edition. As al- ways, the festival will be held at the Upper Barrakka Gar- dens in Valletta, between the 9th and 12th of August. Entrance is free, with wine glasses and purses sold until 11pm and wine poured up to 11:30pm. Live cooking stalls will be serving a tempting va- riety of both traditional Mal- tese and international dishes to tease a wide range of pal- ates. AUGUST 24 - 26 Malta Craft Beer Festival 2018 The first ever edition of the Malta Craft Beer Festival will take place in St Elmo on the 24, 25 and 26 of August 2018. With the best craft beer brands on the island, some of the finest street food you can find and the top alternative bands and DJs, this festival is set to become a fixed appoint- ment in your summer calen- dar.
