Known for his fantastic reper- toire of jokes and one-liners, and light- ning-sharp delivery, Jimmy is gathering a selection of his very best jokes along with brand new material for the ultimate comedy show. We can't be more excited to see what he comes up with this time around. Who knows… maybe this time around he'll make the Maltese even crosser. Tickets will be released very soon! DECEMBER 7 Free Cinema Night at the Eden Cinemas As part of its participation with Euro- pan Commission's MEDIA programme, Eden Cinemas will be hosting a free screening of the hit feature film 'The Apparition' on Friday 7th December. The event will commence at 8pm with a free cocktail reception for audiences to enjoy. A short introduction by the exhibitor will then take place at 8.30pm followed by a screening of the film. The event will come to a close with a short discussion on the film held with a local personality. DECEMBER 23 – JANUARY 13 Comedy Knights: let's Talk about SIX! Comedy is coming your way! This Christmas season, The Comedy Knights return with their hilarious new show, Comedy Knights: Let's Talk About SIX! Get ready to have yourself a FUNNY lit- tle Christmas! Following the MASSIVE success of last year's show The Comedy Knights: 5how Me The Funny, the Lords and Ladies of comedy are coming back with this year's festive season special: Comedy Knights: Let's Talk About SIX! powered by XFM 100.2. MUSIC AND NIGHTLIFE DECEMBER 7 – 9 APS Teatru Unplugged 21 This unique event consists of five short acts of diverse musical genres. Founded by Jonathan Shaw and Nirvana Azzo- pardi in 1998, Teatru Unplugged is Mal- ta's longest annual standing event. The contrast of short musical acts of differ- ent genres within the majestic setting of the Manoel Theatre creates a unique one-of-a-kind event. This year's 21st edi- tion will include acts by Ċikku l-Poplu & Friends, Fiona Cauchi, Colourblind, Relikc, and Miklòs Veszprémi. APS Te- atru Unplugged is produced by Jonathan Shaw and the Manoel Theatre, with the artistic direction of Renzo Spiteri. This year's event will be held on the 7, 8 and 9 December 2018 @ 8pm Tickets at €25, €20 & €10 from www.teatrumanoel. com.mt DECEMBER 8-9 Like...The Beatles The BBC Beatlemania is hitting Malta! It's the magical sixties again, when four young lads took the world by storm. Back then, millions around the world fol- lowed The Beatles through radio shows TV appearances. The band sold millions of records and albums around the globe at a time when the internet wasn't even a dream. Till this very day, songs by The Beatles are played over a million times a day. Like...The Beatles will feature one of the most exciting official Beatles tribute bands around. The concert will be held at one of Malta's finest indoor theatres – The Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC) in Valletta on the 8th and 9th of December 2018. EXHIBITIONS NOVEMBER 15– DECEMBER 13 WIĊĊNA is an intimate and collec- tive compendium of lith-printed photo- graphic portraits; a quiet celebration of the immeasurable variety of faces that inhabit or pass through the Maltese Is- lands. The project unfolds in two parts, an exhibition at Blitz, and accompanying book of over 200 portraits alongside aes- thetic, anthropological and literary es- says on aspects of physiognomy, identity and photography, each written in the different languages that have influenced Malta throughout its history – Arabic (Walid Nabhan), English (Alexandra Pace), French (Philippe Parizot), Italian (Virginia Monteforte), Maltese (Leanne Ellul), and Spanish (Antoine Cassar). The exhibition is being held at Blitz, Val- letta. Entrance is free. NOVEMBER 17 – DECEMBER 9 Vo_eracity Lazuli Art Gallery – a Fair Trade Gal- lery of Primitive Art which also curates contemporary exhibitions of both local and international artists in winter – is launching the first collaborative ex- hibition of father and son Paul & Thomas Scerri, of sculptures in differ- ent mediums entitles Vo_eracity this November in Victoria, Gozo.. The sculp- tures will be exhibited at 83 Palm Street, Victoria Gozo, between November 17 and December 9. CHRISTMAS 15 DECEMBER – 16 DECEMBER Magical Christmas Concert 2018 – MCC Valletta Malta's most anticipated Magical Christmas show is back for the 4th consecutive year as the Mediterranean Conference Centre is expected to turn into one energetic concert on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th December 2018. Shine a Light along with Mickey and Minnie together with the Malta Na- tional Children's Choir. The Magi- cal Christmas concert will be held on Saturday 15th (19:30) and Sunday 16th December 2018 (16:00) at the Mediter- ranean Conference Centre, Valletta. At the christening of Princess Aurora, Malefi- cent, the evil Fairy, casts a spell on the baby princess. Eighteen years pass and the spell puts Aurora to sleep. Prince Charming with the help of Dame Nanna Kola and Muddles fights Maleficent and her whole army to break the evil spell and rid the land of the evil Fairy once and for all. The panto will be held at the Manoel Theatre from 23 December to 6 January. 23 DECEMBER – 5 JANUARY Jack and the Beanstalk – The Panto All his life young Jack has only ever had one dream - to become a famous knight. Unfortunately he comes from a dirt-poor family that can't even afford to keep up with the ever-increasing rent. One day, his village is attacked by giants who take away the girl he loves - pre- sumably to eat her. Jack needs to pluck up the courage and climb that beanstalk to make the transition from zero to hero, from nobody to somebody, from loser to legend.
