COMMERCIAL 16 maltatoday | SUNDAY • 11 AUGUST 2019 AS part of its ongoing journey to become Malta's number one bank for customer service, HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c. has developed a set of brand-new digital tools aimed at helping to simplify banking for all cus- tomers. These digital solutions are based on world-class tech- nology and utilise an intui- tive user interface that allows customers to interact online to see all of their assets – be it investments, insurance, cur- rent or saving accounts. "This improved system is aimed at enhancing customer experience through a holistic platform," said Gregory In- glott, Deputy Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Manage- ment at HSBC Malta. "Initial feedback has been positive as customers said that it has sig- nificantly improved the way they can engage with the bank. "Our customers want to un- derstand their investments and overall financial well-be- ing in an easily digestible way. This new approach enables us to better connect with our customers in yet another way, while providing the service they expect from a modern, digitally-advanced bank." The new digital tools also al- low customers to identify and monitor accounts within their portfolios, with a key feature being that all accounts and investments are tracked and presented with useful illustra- tions within the context of the respective customer's current financial picture. "Customers will discover that this new service makes their life easier. They will find it simpler to access this soft- ware thanks to just one inter- net banking logon, with clear and easy to use functionali- ties, and helpful explanations for when they need them," said Christian Debono, Head of Premier & Wealth Manage- ment at HSBC Malta. Digital banking is high on HSBC Malta's agenda. The bank recently introduced on- line account-opening, which followed the introduction of a-first-in-Malta contactless card, complete online experi- ence on personal loans, and mobile innovations such as TouchID and FaceID. HSBC Malta launches new state-of-the-art digital solution for investments THE 'Young Explorers' and 'Stepping Out' programme participants recently celebrated their achievements during a meeting wherein they all talked about their experiences. At the opening of the event, Godwin Micallef, President of Equal Partners Foundation (EPF) welcomed the young- sters and their parents and guardians. Lia Schembri, clinical coordinator of the 'Stepping Out' programme gave a presentation and explained how these activities all contributed to build on the members' sense of self, self-worth as well as their capacity to establish ef- fective relationships with others in the community. The youngsters also shared their expe- riences and explained how all these ac- tivities helped them to make them feel better equipped to participate in com- munity life, how they have made new friends, distinct from their family or schoolmates, feeling a step closer to be- ing independent and adult-like. Felipe Navarro who was representing Fundación MAPFRE said, "You are all great achievers and I must congratulate you all. Keep on working hard because you are in the right direction. I am pleased that Fundación MAPFRE has been sponsoring this programme for the past six years and the results clearly show that the benefi- ciaries are making the most out of it." Fundación MAPFRE has been very ac- tive in Malta by helping other institu- tions in many ways. Fundación MAPFRE carried out a number of programmes which promote road safety to more than 12,000 young children in schools across Malta and Gozo. It also sponsored various Healthy Liv- ing programmes which highlights the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle followed by a balanced diet and taking part in physical activities. These campaigns have also reached over 10,000 children across all schools. On the closing of the event, Elena Tanti Burlo, Vice President of EPF, thanked all the parents and Fundación MAPFRE for their constant support to- wards EPF. Equal Partners Foundation holds end of year celebrations LEARNING Works, a subsidi- ary company of the Vassallo Group, which is accredited as a Further and Higher Educa- tion Insitution by the National Commission for Further and Higher Education Institution, has just launched a number of courses aimed at facilitating the integration process of for- eigners both within the work- force as well as in society. As from this October this educational institution will be launching a level 4 course leading to an award in dis- covering diversity potential in the workplace. This 3-month course is aimed at helping participants to recognise and understand diversity potential in the workplace in order to promote inclusion and a sense of belonging in their organisa- tions and so reduce the turno- ver. It will help them to build a culture of tolerance through awareness, training, commu- nication and conflict manage- ment strategies. This course is ideal for com- panies with a culturally-di- verse workforce who wish to train their managers and su- pervisory staff in how to deal with the challenges brought about by this new reality in the most effective way. Part of the course focuses on other aspects of diversity. It is also ideal for all those who wish to learn more about how to adopt a global mindset in order to better understand the different cultures that are now present in Malta.
