To commemorate this milestone, Marsovin has organized a series of events throughout the year leading to its grand finale a 2-Michelin star celebration dinner held at the de Mondion, the acclaimed restaurant at The Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux in Mdina. For this special occasion Marsovin invited the two Michelin-starred Chef Ema- nuele Scarello from Ristorante Agli Amici, to prepare a spe- cial menu which was fit for the occasion, in collaboration with Chef de Cuisine Kevin Bonello. Ristorante Agli Amici, situ- ated in Udine, was established by Chef Emanuele Scarello's family in 1887, and its re- nowned success is attributed to hard work, relentless com- mitment and immense pas- sion. Chef Emanuele Scarello and his restaurant Agli Amici were awarded the first "star" in the year 2000 and the sec- ond one in 2013. Marsovin CEO , Jeremy Cas- sar said: "We are proud of the name Marsovin has made for itself over the past 100 years. It is thanks to the persistence and dedication of all those in- volved that we have achieved this milestone." Jeremy Cassar, who is the great-grandson of Marsovin's original founder adds "We wanted to end this year's cal- ender of events with some- thing exclusive, unlike any of the other events we have organized so far. We are ab- solutely delighted with what Chef Emanuele Scarello and Chef Kevin Bonello have cre- ated, and the excellent service provided by the Xara Palace, those who attended this Cel- ebration dinner will surely share my same experience". The evening began in the Xara Palace Atrium where up- on arrival, guests were greet- ed with Marsovin's Cassar de Malte Methode Traditionelle sparkling wine, served from 1.5L Magnum bottles. Following this, guests were escorted to the de Mondion restaurant to be served six cu- linary creations exceptionally paired with Marsovin's pre- mium and boutique wines, in- cluding Grand Maître vintage 2004 and limited edition 100th Anniversary wine which, on this special occasion, was served from 5L bottles. Being a household name with a long history in Malta, Mar- sovin has throughout the years supported many charitable in- stitutions, one of which is the Maltese Association Sover- eign Military Order of Malta (MASMOM). This special event was the perfect platform to present a donation, also as a symbol of the long standing relationship between Marso- vin and the Maltese Assoca- tion of the Sovereign Military order of Malta. Mr. Jeremy Cassar, CEO at the Marsovin Winery, present- ed the donation to Marchesino Daniel de Petri Testaferrata, the President of the Maltese Asso- ciation Sovereign Military Order of Malta (MASMOM). This donation is a contribution towards the charitable endeav- ours of this Order, done both lo- cally and worldwide. The amount donated is a val- ue of every bottle of wine sold of Marsovin's flagship wine - Grand Maître. Grand Maître is a wine dedi- cated to the Grand Masters of Malta by official appointment to the Maltese Association Sover- eign Military Order of Malta. Every year it it dedicated to a different Grand Master in chronological order, the first one being Philippe Villiers de L'Isle Adam for the 1998 vintage.
