53 Sport maltatoday, SUNDAY, 13 OCTOBER 2013 HORSE RACING Autumn Championship Final Sponsored by Cassar Fuels GOVERNMENT OF MALTA CALL FOR QUOTATIONS PROVISION OF LEGAL SERVICES The Ministry for Gozo is in the process of evaluating an expression of interest for the development of a cruise liner terminal and berthing facilities and a yacht marina in the Island of Gozo. To facilitate this process, the Ministry for Gozo will be appointing legal advisors to assist the Ministry during this process. The Ministry for Gozo is inviting quotations from reputable legal firms. TODAY 38th programme of the season will be raced at the Marsa Racetrack with the feature race being the Autumn Championship Final sponsored by Cassar Fuels. This is the third consecutive year that Cassar Fuels is sponsoring this championship which has now become one of the local racing season's attractions. As usual this competition was open to the top class horses on the island with prize money totalling 3400 Euro with the winner receiving 2000 Euro as well as a trophy and horse blanket. This final has always been raced during the month of October with the previous winners being Livi Cantona (2011) and Troy Boshoeve (2012) and the best average time for the final was that of 1'14"7 registered by Livi Cantona. The 9 finalists were chosen from 25 horses which took part in three spectacular races boasting some of the best timings we have had so far during this season. The final is the eighth race on the card and starts at 16:05. The programme starts at 13:30 and includes 10 other races that are qualifications for the Condition Races sponsored also by Cassar Fuels and which are open to Gold, Silver, Bronze and Copper categories.
