Williams will be performing a programme of 20th century and contemporary works by Denis Levaillant (France), Béla Bartόk (Hungary), Ruben Zahra and Pawlu Grech (Malta) and Steve Antosca (United States). Each work will portray a different technique on the piano including extended piano technique and computer processed piano sampling. Tickets are €10. FEBRUARY 21 Tact Duo Acoustic concert by Tact Duo (Franco Tartaglia on guitar and Raisa Piscopo on vocals) at La Rive, Sliema. Bookings: 21 318323. FEBRUARY 22 A Coalition Jazz duo A Coalition – David Schembri and Dean Muscat – will be performing at Coach and Horses, Valley Road, Msida. Doors open at 21:30. Entrance is at €3. FEBRUARY 28 Gypsy Mambo: 'Underground' Night of gypsy music by Balkan ensemble Gypsy Mambo at Orpheum Theatre, Gzira. With support by electro DJ Danjeli. The theme of the night will be Emir Kusturica's film 'Underground '. Doors open at 20:00. FEBRUARY 28 The MADC Carnival Party Carnival party organised by Malta's forefront theatre company at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl Tat- Targa. Colin Fitz will be the DJ/ compere on the night. Theme for the costume party is movie, theatre and television characters. Entrance at €28 includes finger food and four hours of open bar. Doors open at 20:30. MARCH 7 The Composer Conducts - MPO Concert Series Concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra at the Manoel Theatre, Valletta at 19:30. MPO resident composer Joseph Vella the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. MPO Principal Double Bassist Gjorgji Cincievski is the featured soloist in Bottesini's concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra. The Concert includes Joseph Vella's composition 'Symphonic Variations on a Theme by Chopin op 131' commissioned by Prof. Robert Ghirlando in Memory of Maria Ghirilando. Tickets are €30, €20, €10. Mu-Danzas Boleras Performance of Spanish dance in tribute to Sharon Sapienza. Both shows start at 20:00. A Libyan Lama Exhibition of contemporary Libyan artists at St James Cavalier, Valletta, organised in collaboration with Noon Arts. Artists include Matug Aborawi (who has just recently joined Noon Arts), Yousef Fetis, Mohammad Bin Lamin, Hadia Gana, Naziha Arebi and Arwa Abouon. Juxtapositions Collective exhibition at St James Cavalier featuring works by Derek Nice, Paul Gibson, Jean Pierre Gatt and Wayne Hill.
